Nearly Perfect
Would give a 4.5 tbh. The sound is stellar in gaming. Whether Xbox, PS5 or PC it delivers. The have a rich sound with a wide soundscape which I prefer. The comfort level is a big selling point for me. The earpads are soft and light. No issue with clamping and can wear for a long gaming session without discomfort. I have used other higher end gaming headphones (like the Arctis Nova Pro), and these are more comfortable to me.I also think the A50X have a bit better sound quality than the Arctis Nova Pro. (I understand that is a personal preference as the Nova Pro's are excellent as well)I love the platform switching and it is done right on the headphones. Very easy. The mic is really good. Very clear and not as thin sounding as others I have tried. Overall, I really love these headphones. I would give them a 4.5 out of 5. I wish the software was a little better and I would like to have more customization options like programmable lighting. Other than that, I have a hard time not recommending these as your go to-all around-use on every platform you have headphones. Love them!

Great headset, Linux viable
I was hesitant to buy these despite owning the Gen3 since 2016 due to the bluetooth. After a decade the Gen3 battery finally died and needs a constant power supply.>Bluetooth works flawlessly, long range>Audio is great, rivals $900 660s + Element 3 amp>Mic compared to Shure SM7dB is pretty good>Works with Linux, just needs some adjusting>Never used the software, don't have GHUBIn the ear pad picture you'll see the size difference between the Astro A50 open-back versus the aftermarket closed-back. The closed-back is wider and doesn't flatten while providing noise isolation, reducing audio leaking out or in providing better sound. The open-back Astros will flatten on your ear and will not fit properly. So you will definitely have to purchase a new pair and I recommend it for better audio anyway. The old Gen3 had firmer open-back pads but also offered full faux leather closed-back straight from Astro, both were fantastic, the new ones suck.Linux users:Use Pulse Audio to set A50 X profile to "Pro Audio" in Configuration. Then in Easy Effects, Output at the top, Effects on the bottom, add an Equalizer then you can use LSP Parametric Equalizer in the "Show Native Window" from the right side options, if you have it. This will allow you to fine tune the audio to absolute precise perfection without any GHUB software.

Great sound quality, very comfortable, zero connectivity issues.
I had originally gone with the Audeze Maxwell 2 after my Astro A40 failed after years of use, and while the Maxwell 2 had amazing build quality and 70+ hours of battery life, I found the sound quality disappointing and the headset uncomfortable. I expected better out of the box performance and comfortability from an audiophile-focused brand like Audeze. The Astro A50X is so much lighter and more comfortable to wear for long periods, as well as just sounding better right out of the box. I will say the build quality could be better, the pad at the top is attached with some fairly flimsy looking plastic snap-points, but at least it's lightweight. I just feel like if I were to twist it a tad too much it would break, so I always handle it with both hands. The charging stand is a nice plus as well, as it lets me see how much charge I have left at a glance without opening the Logitech app, and acts as a wireless dongle so I don't have to use finicky Bluetooth.Assuming it holds up over the next few years, I'd definitely recommend this headset.
