Pool & Spa Cleaner (32 FL Oz)

My wife likes it and she says it works on the pool scale build-up. If my wife likes it then it must be a good product. She sprayed the scale buildup in the morning and let it sit for a while before scrubbing it lightly with a pumice stone then rinses. She says it took three treatments with heavy deposits. She has had me purchase three bottles already about two bottles to remove the very heavy buildup on the spa and wanted two more to finish the pool and keep one to spray occasionally to keep it from building up again. but they are currently out of stock. The closest price to the manufacturers price for Descale-It is from a pool supply company for $15 more than what I paid directly from Descale-It selling on Amazon, that's more than a 50% increase in price. I will wait for Descale-It to restock on Amazon.

When I received the bottle, it was wrapped in a bag containing much of the liquid that should have been in the bottle. Not so great. Spraying it on some tiles helped remove some of the scale. It isn't perfect, and it took multiple applications to get half-decent results. If your scale isn't so bad, hit it right away; I may have waited too long.

My pool water got out of balance and I had a mess of scale in a about a week. Gotta keep tabs on that water! Descale-It has done a great job of removing it. It does require some elbow grease for the tougher spots (scratch-free sponges and plastic bristle brushes). Like other reviewers noted, when you spray it on, it goes to work. Bubbling and fizzing. I did find that for my grout, which is a bit dark but not actually colored, the dissolved scale will get into the grout and leave it gray/white when it dries if all I use is a sponge. However, if I follow up with a stiff bristled brush and plenty of water, it pulls that busted-up scale right out.

It did dissolve the calcium - but it took much effort. It would work well on calcium buildup that is very light, but not well on heavy or thick buildup.

That’s not work at all

I will have to re-grout where I used this in my pool. Bleached my dark gray grout white. Doesn’t clean very well because it will get into every crack and crevice and turn white.

I have had scale build up on my pool for years. I would get a product from the local pool store that was close to worthless. Spray this on a couple of times, it will bubble up to a nice white film, and then a quick and easy clean up with your pool brush Just bought 4 more bottles to better maintain my pool going forward The best product I have seen

Worked well on our scale on the pool. Sometimes has to apply several times to breakdown the layers. There are fumes so be careful. We've tried several products & this has been the best so far.
