Great quality - best one on the market.
This is one of the best products I could find on Amazon to keep your bear spray safely secured but also wouldn’t take long to get it out if you encountered a bear and needed to access your bear spray! This is a must have for your hiking adventures!

A few things stop this from being really good.
Compare to the price of other items, I think this is a good value, and it is definitely functional. That said there are a few things that decrease its usability and I want to highlight them here.First is the carabiner loop. As you can see in the photo it sticks up well beyond the top of the can and at the very top of the product. I don't see any realistic scenario where a can of bear spray is hanging simply by a carabiner creating a very long lever like that. It is just too heavy and clunky and would be swinging all over the place.Second are the belt loops on the back. They don't come undone like a Molle loop, and they are wide enough for a large belt. This is I think the ideal scenario, putting this on your wide hiking belt where it would be reasonably fixed. The problem with these loops, as they show them on a backpack, is that there are a few places where they can be properly threaded on, and the sternum strap is not a place where you would likely want a can of bear spray hanging down flopping around. It would be much better if they fixed with snaps, or offered some other way to affix to the shoulder strap.Third, the appropriately- placed belt loops leave much of the can hanging below. I think a simple hole for a piece of paracord would have been abled this to be secured a bit on the bottom, and enable it to function in a larger variety of scenarios. This is also quite heavy for what it is, but it is intended to be more durable/tactical rather than an ultralight backpacking. I would recommend it for people who are using it on a belt, or people who want to modify it for their specific use case, would not recommend this for direct attachment to a backpack strap.

Keep your bear spray at the ready
The elastic bottom of my bear spray pouch ripped out and I got this as a replacement. The spray fits perfectly and holds the spray at the ready. I will get more functional use out of this during a trip to a bear-infested National Park this summer and expect it to serve well. Hopefully all it has to do is hang on my belt!
