Loganberry Soda Pop Drink Syrup Concentrate - 1 Gallon

I bought this item and had it shipped to my sister in Alberta, Canada I live in Ontario)for her birthday. We were exchanging emails about memories of when we children and she mentioned the Loganberry Concentrate our Father got us all the time from Cyrstal Beach. She said she really had a craving for it. Well, I knew what I had to do. I tried to find it in Crystal Beach but the manufacturer had closed down so I looked it up on the internet and that led me to Amazon. Amazon came through and I purchased it for my sister. The Loganberry Concentrate got to my sister well ahead of her Birthday. She said that it tasted just like when we were children and the gallon I sent her would last a long time because she lives alone. The packaging was well done to protect the cargo and the people who delivered it left it with her neighbour as she instructed in a note on her door, while she was at work. So the I'd say the Loganberry Concentrate was a sweet success.

When I saw a description saying it is across between a raspberry and blackberry taste that sounded really good. The seller was wonderful, actually gave me a courtesy call to let me know the ship date and estimated time of arrival. The packaging was impeccable and it did arrive in a timely manner. The actual product I am not that thrilled with. If you know this product and brand and are cool with it this is the seller to go to. 1 bottle of syrup was a lot of money to me and this sounded good so I went for the giant bottle. The main ingredient is high fructose corn syrup and no actual fruit in it apparently because it says artificial flavoring. To me it tastes exactly like cough syrup if you taste straight syrup and I wouldn't recommend putting this on ice cream or anything like that, a subtle amount of syrup with some seltzer water, in a drink cocktail, in a sweet and sour dipping sauce for french fries mixed with some spices, or some sort of subtle use of it in other foods. I have a lot and am trying to figure out ways to use it up, but won't make it an every day food.
