Installation was pretty straightforward, although the screws are tiny. If you're not comfortable working with parts under a microscope, consider having someone else do this screen replacement. The replacement screen works as least as well as the old one before it got damaged. There was no observable difference in performance. Good Buy!

Pretty easy used it on a phone that I was sending in to Verizon on a trade in and didn’t realize I didn’t have to have the screen fixed but already bought the kit and it was actually a easy process but time consuming for me the first time. Come with everything you need. The video is on YouTube to show directions though. But I would buy it because my screen worked fine and this was my first time changing my phone screen.

I don’t recommend this screen. I’ve installed dozens of screens, and this was the only we’ve had problems with. It was easy to install, but the picture quality was mediocre. Bought it May 18, and it immediately started glitching. By July 20 the screen was starting to detach from its frame. I’ll attach pictures to show what I mean. On July 31, the screen literally popped off the phone into my hand (only 2 cables kept it attached to the phone). The screen wasn’t cracked; it just popped off. Waste of money. I recommend going with another brand.

Cost-effective replacment for original screen when it cracks- As long as you are aware of certain things: 1) The phone will always have an issue displayed in Settings that this is not a genuine product. 2) The screen will be slightly thicker than the original screen and might not fit well in hard cases. 3) It will also impact battery life as the LED/LCD screen uses more power than the OLED original screen. That being said if you are comforable with this kind of detail work with very, very tiny tools, parts and connectors this is a good option over the apple store/apple parts solution. I use this phone for my kids to access the web at home so not something I want to spend a lot of money on.
