A woman answered this very honestly already, but I feel a need to add a bit more anecdotal evidence. Women have and continue to prefer not to do these types of manual labor and I can totally understand that. That is what the men in their life are for, after all. And honestly, most real men feel the same way. My wife might take a few swings with the axe because it looks like fun. However, after she realizes (and this has actually happened) just how much work goes into it (and how much the chance you could put the axe into the top of your foot increases when you're getting worn out) she hands it back to me and says, "Ok, your turn." I'm guessing she's hoping that, by doing all this hard work, my keg will somehow turn into a six pack and I'll start looking like that guy in the ads swinging by one arm from a pull-up bar while curling a free weight with the other. I can still see that slight disappointment in her face that a six pack wasn't hidden there when I return from the job all sweaty, flushed and ready to die even though she gives me a nice pat on the cheek and says, "Good job, honey."
