Thirty years after he authored The Art of the Deal, Donald Trump used The Art of the Insult to brand political opponents and bash the media all the way to the White House. While critics insisted "The Donald" was merely a chaotic sideshow, Trump was dominating the 24-hour news cycle with a master plan of political incorrectness. Hurling insults like Low-Energy Jeb, Lyin' Ted, Crooked Hillary, Little Marco, Pocahontas, and Fake News, Trump emerged in 2016 as an unstoppable political phenomenon who transformed the Presidential race into the greatest show on earth. Trump The Art of the Insult tells the story of Donald Trump's improbable journey from Trump Tower to rallies across America to the debate stage, where he reveled in mocking and taunting rivals with targeted insults and nicknames, leaving them gasping for air. Not only did he push frontrunner Jeb Bush out of the Presidential race early on, Trump proved him wrong when Bush lectured during a debate "Donald, you can't insult your way to the Presidency." In Trump The Art of the Insult, the President is often sophomoric and sometimes brutal, yet always entertaining. Love or hate Donald Trump, you'll find yourself laughing along with the leader of the free world, and marveling at Trump, a marketing genius and performance artist who, despite being a Manhattan billionaire, captured the hearts of middle America.

This is so funny, Trump for 2020
nah, I vote Democrat only because we have no viable Marxist-Leninist choice since Gus Hall is no longer with us. But I want Trump re-elected (not really!) cuz this guy is right up there w/Rodney Dangerfield. Trump is soooo incredibly hillarious like how he handled Bob Accosta's refusal to give the mike to the WH intern. I thought Trump was gonna body slam Accosta like Trump body slammed Vince McMahon yrs ago at WWE But seriously, as funny as Trump is, we do need a POTUS for the working families of AmeriKKKa (deliberated misspelling), so that we can STOP Making America HATE Again. We need less hate, more love, single payer Medicare for all, and dismantle the Department of Offense and replace it with a Dept of Peace. All power to the Soviets (simply means "working units") in America !!!

Trump: The Art of the Insult
This movie displayed how wonderfully authentic and quick witted Donald Trump is, and how he did not play the game by the standard rules when running for president. He said it like he saw it, political correctness be damned, kept it real and genuinely meant what he was saying in his speeches and in his comments to reporters. I loved it! Mr. Trump did not take it personally when his many opponents in the race attempted vicious campaign smears against him and the results of such attempts always backfired terribly on them. The movie spends a lot of time on how Mr. Trump handled the personal attacks from the other republican presidential candidates and pointed out in vivid clarity their weaknesses and stupidity. I never saw a person take on and easily handle such adversity on such a scale as Trump did, and with such humor and blunt honesty. The American people needed him to run for, and become their president much in the same way as a drowning person craves for a gasp of air. When it got to Hillary it was so obvious she had nothing in comparison to Trump and he ripped her to shreds as well as the Fake Media. The man really is a beloved genius and his supporter base is the tremendous ice berg under the water, not the tiny tip above (Hillary's) as is clearly seen in the huge numbers of people attending his campaign speeches.I watched this movie with my 16 year old and discussed the various situations with her so that she understands better who President Trump is, and the reasons he was elected despite horrendous vote rigging by Clinton. This movie is a very clear window to see why president Trump is our God-given renegade and why he is exactly what this country, and world need to get back on a healthy track again. I loved it!!

Strong Reminder of Why It's Time for Another President
I think the piece is effective at making him look like a clown to be honest. Being good at hurling insults is entertaining once in a while but gets really old really fast for some of us who really miss seeing someone dignified that we can feel proud of and who takes the actual work involved seriously, rather than just the power. After 4 years, it's kind of apparent to many that being artful at insults or continually encouraging Americans to divide and conquer each other doesn't make someone effective Presidential material It was especially strange to watch this and be reminded of how many times he branded others as liars after having seen him say on 3 different occasions that his father was born in Germany when the rest of the world knows his father was born in New York City. The piece is also a reminder of how he is really no different than the people he claimed to be different from. It's 2020 now and if I lived in the midwest wanting a better job, or wanted coal to come back or wanted a big giant wall that was paid for by Mexico, I'd be pretty unhappy with him. The only thing I've really seen is a big huge (immediate) tax cut for a handful of the ultra rich and a huge loss in future revenue for the U.S. He's had opposition for sure, but the job is all about getting people to try your team's ideas and all he's done is solidify the opposition against him. It's not easy to notice all the footage out there of other countries either laughing at us or feeling sorry for us because of him (on pretty much any platform out there.) None of this has made the US look great.

If only everyone could see this humor for what it is
Honestly, I've met Trump who was a dear friend of someone who is now passed. They were cohorts in charity and laughter, family, and religion. My friend was a black man in the entertainment world and Trump and he dreamed up some great business ventures and spent a lot of time together over the years along with rooms full of other black entertainers. My friend was a devout Christian and a huge philanthropist with a heart of gold who would never have been such friends with someone undeserving. He and Trump gave away millions ANNONYMOSLY with no thought of reward. So while I wasn't necessarily a fan of Donald Trump in shows like The Apprentice, I already knew a lot about him and knew he thought about the presidency off and on for years, telling friends he would run "if it gets any worse". That was in the 90s. When he announced his campaign I knew it was time to switch from the defunct high-jacked Democrat party to follow this great man. Trump shoots from the hip instead of carefully weighing each word and phrase to be all-inclusive. The ironic thing is that during this entire film full of perhaps every insult he every slung, not one is against a segment such as gays, blacks, or women. He truly loves America with all her races and all her faces but when he sizes someone up he lets you know. And believe me, someone that wealthy from instinct and education is seldom wrong. This film will have you laughing out loud and slapping your knee. Anyone who takes him too seriously when he's insulting people need to stop trying to fit him into the political box and understand that this is exactly the kind of man America has been hoping for -- someone who can't be bought, is highly educated, understands the economy of the nation and of the world, and embraces every race, culture, and dream ... as long as it's not on the backs of hard-working Americans. God bless Trump!
