Moisture Test Kit - Calcium Chloride Test Kit by VaporGauge

I purchased this before applying the epoxy in my garage. The directions were easy to follow and I was able to determine the results without any trouble. You will need to have a scale that weighs in grams to weigh the calcium chloride. If you don't have a scale, you will not be able to use the kit. The only difficult thing about the kit is getting the sticky gooey stuff that seals the cover over the calcium chloride off the cement following the test. It was a pain to get off. But, it does work!

This product works great. It gives quantitative results that support making good decisions. I did not like the number it gave me - the area I tested had a higher MVE (6.3x lbs/1000sq-ft/24hours) than normal, but nonetheless I am happy to have the answer. If I had not done the testing, I might have bought and installed a floor coating product that would have peeled up ("experienced a flooring failure" to use the paint/coating manufacturer's tech rep's words). Amazon needs to add this to their Prime offering.
