Easy to use. Hope it works. I won't know until we have a power surge or lightning strike .

This works really well for computer equipment that you don't want to come on and go off multiple times during a brownout as this basically detects the dropout, and when the power comes back on it'll start a 5 minute timer before switching the power back in, and for that it worked perfectly.It looks like a very cheap socket and I had my doubts it would actually do anything until I looked inside and tested it.Despite the name implying this has surge protection I don't think it does. I took it apart to see what was going on, and there's definitely a relay, some power supply components and an unidentified chip however there's no connection to earth at all, so I can't see how this would be able to dump a surge in any way, so I don't think it has surge protection at all. It may trip the device because it goes over voltage, but how fast that would respond I don't know. I don't think it would be faster than a close lightning strike.So good for delayed start and avoiding switching equipment constantly during power outages or restorations, but probably less good as a surge device. It would be nice if they had fitted some surge protection to dump high voltages to earth.

Just the job for a single appliance.

Supposed to be for power protection for electrical products but failed after 2 weeks. Bought 6 but 2 have failed already. Do not waste your money

The product is very useful and of high performance in my area with unstable power surges and frequent power cuts.I recommend it anyone to try it but disregard it off colours appearance it’s a very good product to protect your valuable electrical appliances
