Understanding the Qur'an: Themes and Style (London Qur'an Studies Series): v. 1

A very informative and helpful book when looking at themes in the Quran. Well written and reader friendly with clear index and contents sections.

This book is good for anyone wishing to study The Quran. Brings up some good points. The best parts for me were the examples of logical arguments in The Quran, and the comparison of the story of Adam in The Quran compared to The Bible version. It clearly shows The Quran version is primarily metaphorical, and not literal.

Was hoping for a chapter by chapter analysis of the Quran. Instead some basic themes were addressed that were nontheless still useful to learn about.
