Q: Is this only for right handed people or can lefties use it? The nail clipper I have now destroys my cat’s claws because it’s designed for righties

I'm a lefty. These work great. I just checked them in both hands and there is no difference in their cutting position when you switch hands. I tried about 3 other types and got frustrated, so I asked the pet groomer at the national chain pet store what she used, and these were them.

Q: Will clipping a cats nails stop them from scratching on all the walls?

First, let me say I have found these clippers to stay sharp longer than others I have purchased. As far as scratching on the walls, it may just be a behavior or a habit they've developed. My cat often scratches on the wall after using the catbox and covering her "deposit" (her box is cleaned daily). Keeping the nails clipped has saved our sofa, bedspreads, drapes and carpets. If your cat is wiggly try wrapping it in a towel exposing only the paw/nails you want to clip. I also like to reward the cat after her nails are clipped by stroking her with a "shedding" glove (also purchased on Amazon) that feels "so good " and makes up for the personal insult of me clipping her nails! Cat's are a trip, aren't they!

Yes, the clippers are well made and sturdy. I love Maine Coo n cats!!! They are amazing!!

Q: What size for a chihuahua? the cat/mini clipper or the small clippers? confused on which on to get? not good at this nail stuff dont want to hurt

I think these clippers should work fine for a chihuahua.
