I’ve had it for over 5 months doesn’t take long to make ice, the noise isn’t too loud you’ll get used to it to it. Only problem I had is if the light for low water goes on and you add water it doesn’t register so I just turn it off and on again. It makes a lot of ice and it stays cold for a while. It is medium sized just make sure you have the space for the vents on the right side shouldn’t be against a wall but the left can be against a wall.

I'm a single man who was tired to filling 4 ice cube trays everyday to keep ice on hand. I use a lot of ice daily. This is easier, fill two large Jack in the Box cups with water and you're good. Empty the basket every 2 hours or so. It makes enough ice for two days in about 6-8 hours. You need to be around to dump the made ice into another container every 90-120 minutes to let the process continue. Refill as you like. I have larger containers to keep the made ice. The new ice is wet so it can stick in the container you are using. Have an ice pick or old flat head screw driver (cleaned) on hand to use to break of the ice. For sound, it's like having the air conditioner on, about the same as running the dishwasher but longer. No big deal, and you can hear the ice drop, but again, as long as you aren't too sensitive, it's just fine. Long story short, I would rather pour water and then ice cubes than fill trays. It helps that I work from home, but you can get ice within 15 minutes. Keep near the sink to pull the drain plug and then mop out the excess water so nothing grows. I used vinegar to clean the first time. I highly recommend. I have two containers for ice so I only make ice every other day.

Ok. So this little guy worked for 5 days. It was a gift and not opened until about a week after it was shipped to me but broke well within the return window. However, upon contacting Amazon, they refused to do a return and gave me a phone number to the manufacturer. This was not even the correct phone number and I had to be transferred around. After a week of being jerked around by these people I contacted Amazon again. Nope, not going to help me is what I was told. Tried with the manufacturer again. I was told by the manufacturer “Amazon keeps doing this to us, I’m going to have to talk to someone”. Contacted Amazon again. At this point it was maybe 3 days past the 30 day return window and even though I had initiated this process within the 30 days o was told nothing could be done. I explained to them that the manufacturer would not help me. I spent over an hour on the phone with the Amazon rep while she tried to contact the manufacturer on my behalf, even though I told her it was useless to do that. She eventually admitted that I was right and that no one at the manufacturer would help us. She gave me an email address and told me to write to them and explain the situation and that there was nothing else they could do. I wrote to the email address provided and got a response telling me that it was the wrong address and I had to write to some company in Toronto, which I did. No response. Amazon and Igloo have stolen my money. I have a brain tumor and am on disability. This was a huge purchase for me. I gave it as a gift because it gets up to 110 degrees where I live and it is nice for people to have extra ice. I have been a good customer of Amazon for years as my disability makes it very hard for me to leave the house but at this point I do not feel comfortable shopping with them ever again. Now I don’t know what I’m going to do.

this igloo looks nice , has a good build and does what it's supposed to do - makes ice; but the ice it makes is 32 degree ice, which means the ice needs to be either used or stored in a freezer immediately. if left in the basket the ice melts to return for the next cycle, producing a non-stop cycling if not turned off. five stars if the ice remained frozen stored in the basket until ready to use.

Awesome ice maker!

I used it right away and we love it. It puts air into the ice so it is very easy to chew (If you enjoy that) and makes ice very quickly. It does melt fast due to the lightness so be sure to fill your glass with ice, not just 8 cubes. Hoping it lasts for awhile. I did buy the extended warranty after reading some others comments about theirs not working long enough (not sure the brand). Note added after using for a while : Some of the reviews said they're ice maker quit working. We have discovered it will quit working if it needs to be cleaned. When cleaning be sure you pop the screen out of the base on the right side, INSIDE WATER BASIN and give a good scrub to the intake outlet. Rinse well, refill and it should go right back to work.

Doesn't keep ice frozen very well and ice is so wet that it sticks together once put in the freezer. Difficult to dry the insides if you're going to not use for a few days. Wastes water. It doesn't use about half of what you put in it before it needs water again.

Funciona al 50% tarda demasiado para hacer unos 9 hielos aprox 15 min y son muy pequeños y los pequeños son aún más pequeños la verdad la compré por el precio de haber sabido que no funcionaba bien la devolvería sin embargo ya pasó el periodo de prueba de 30 días , no la recomendó
