First-Time Tent Owners, We’re So Impressed!
We bought this Coleman tent to prepare for an upcoming camping trip in a few weeks, and as first-time tent owners, we weren’t sure what to expect. Let me just say, we’re so impressed! We did a trial run in our bedroom to make sure we could set it up, and it was super easy. The instructions were clear, and it took us less than 10 minutes to get it fully pitched. The tent feels sturdy and well-made, with plenty of space inside. The ventilation is great, and it even looks nice! We feel so much more confident heading into our trip knowing we have a reliable, easy-to-use tent. If you’re new to camping like us, this is a perfect choice to start with.

HUGE!
My husband and I set this up in our dining room today - just to get a feel for its size, check for any tears, broken zippers, or issues with poles. First of all, it’s huge! As a family of 5, we wanted something large enough for a comfortable camping weekend. My husband and daughter backpack and have tiny, lightweight tents for that purpose - this is NOT that! It took just under 20 minutes for my husband to open it and set it up for the first time; it was pretty simple and I imagine would go much quicker when the two of us set it up together. The quality seems nice and my kids are excited to use it.

Good for the price
I ordered the tent in October. I finally got to use it in December. For the most part it is a good tent. It is roomy and has acceptable head room. The set-up instructions leave a lot to be desired. Someone inexperienced with tentage might have trouble. Like most Coleman tents the tent pegs are insufficient for any application outside of your lawn. The biggest problem with the tent is the storage bag is too small and it already ripped after the third time I stored it. The seams have seam tape, and I assume they will not leak. However, I cannot attest to that since I haven't used it in the rain. I was able to set it up and tear it down by myself, but I have been camping with a variety of tentage for over 60 years. It would be fairly easy to set up for two people once they figured out the procedure. I give it 4 stars because for the price point it is fairly well made.

Easy set up and plenty of space
This tent was very easy to set up and didn’t take long at all. It has plenty of room inside and felt comfortable for camping trips. Materials feel solid for the price, and it packed back up without much hassle. A good option if you want something straightforward and reliable without a complicated setup.

Terrible - DO NOT BUY
This tent was terrible. It completely collapsed multiple times in very light wind even though it was staked in the ground. On the first night setting it up on our trip the string inside the poles had been snapped, I had to tie it off to make it functional but it continued to be an issue throughout our trip. Was really upset as Coleman is supposed to be a good brand but was really disappoint by how crappy the tent was. We were in a remote area with no service and were not able to reach out to customer support. Overall very bad experience with this tent. It really put a huge damper on our trip. I would tell anyone looking into this tent DO NOT BUY IT. Very cheap quality and not made for the outdoors at all which is absolutely ridiculous. I do not recommend this tent and wish I could give it fewer than one star since it was so awful.

perfect
needed a bigger tent and this was great, standing headroom for being tall. very easy to set up, strong too. used it for about 40 nights last summer in Canada. gave us lots of room inside so we were not close to walls when bears would roam by. room for all of our gear too (non food) we added a long cord on to inside door zippers so easy to find in the dark when zippered shut

Survived Electric Forest 2025 storms
My friend and I took this tent to electric forest in 2025. EF is a several day long camping-music festival in June in Michigan-that is known for having a lot of wind and a lot of rain. The wind was so bad that people’s canopies were breaking and flying away. The rain flooded certain parts of the campsite. My friend and I stayed dry and safe in our tent with 0 problems. In fact our neighbors canopy leg snapped in half and poked our tent. You could see it jutting/caving into our tent. Our tent did not rip did not break or anything. The only downside is the zipper is a little annoying, but I do understand that it is an intentional design for other purposes. We got the six person tent and it was enough for us to both fit twin size coats, and stuff in the middle to get dressed and ready. My boyfriend and I also have the four person tent, which is enough for a queen size air mattress, and just enough to shove some things around the side of the mattress. It is also fairly easy to set up. The only struggle was attaching the two highest points based both me and my friend are only 5 foot but we were able to do it.

OK tent, but wouldn't buy it again.
I bought this as an attempt at a cheap tent for our small family to use in the woods. I've owned many tents in my life ranging from cheap to very high quality and expensive. This one is not the best cheap one out there. I do not like how one end of each pole is attached semi-permanently to the tent (See photo). It makes it more complicated to handle the tent when setting up, packing it up, or drying it out at home after a wet camping trip. Zipper is annoying because it catches the material every time you zip. And the rain fly design leaves much to be desired. The part that hangs over the entrance is borderline useless and fidgety to insert the pole. OK for light rain as it kept us dry, but I don't expect it would in heavy rain or blowing rain. The best thing about this tent is the amount of screen, as it provides decent airflow if you stake out the guy lines to the rain fly properly.
