Biotin 10,000 mcg + Zinc + Selenium 365 Tablets

I noticed thicker hair after taking it regularly

My rheumatologist recommended I take a biotin supplement due to LUPUS caused skin and nail symptomatology, so I purchased this particular brand after reading reviews, which were pretty impressive; my skin manifestations responded fairly quickly, and my fingernail, and swollen cuticles responded quickly as well, and by quickly I mean within a month or less. I continue to take this supplement, because I "go in and out of flares" on a regular basis, but they're not as bad, that is, with regard to skin and fingernail manifestations as they were before I started taking biotin supplements. There is nothing I dislike about this particular brand, but I do like the small size; easy to swallow, and the cost is not going to put me in debt. I take a fairly high dose, but I tried lower doses, and they're not as a effective. There is only 1 caveat to taking this high dose biotin supplement, if you can call it a caveat, and that is: it can confound (confuse) a troponin assay (done to dx a heart attack), therefore it would be imperative to notify EMTs that I take this supplement, and my rheumatologist also told me to withhold use of this supplement for a few days if my doctor is ordering a thyroid panel, because it can make a person look like they have a thyroid issue when they don't. With that said, I will continue to take this supplement, because it works for me.

I don't write many reviews, but I have been taking this inexpensive supplement for a little over a year now. I've been fortunate to have healthy hair & nails most of my life, but for the last few years (I'm 69), my nails have gone from strong to fragile...chipping, splitting & peeling so that I almost gave up giving myself manicures. When I started taking biotin, at first I didn't notice much difference in my nails, but my hair was growing so much faster that my hair stylist noticed & nodded when I told him I was taking this. He said he recommends this to his clients with weak hair & was not surprised it was making mine even stronger. So I was encouraged to keep taking it, at least for healthier hair. It took 4-5 months, but gradually my nails grew stronger too. They are now in good shaped & rarely split or peel. My manicures go on well & last longer since the nails are stronger underneath. It hasn't taken away the fine lines on my face or reversed the crepey skin I'm seeing in places, but my skin doesn't seem as dry as it was before. This product has been a wonderful find for me...great product at a reasonable price.

Very tiny supplement its my first time to use it as i got no results almost one month and still using it but effective facing very hair fall.
