I bought the 8 foot frosted cover bulbs to replace old fluorescent bulbs in my garage and I am extremely happy I did. They are easy to install if you have some experience with wiring for the ballast bypass (an electrician can do it in minutes). They are very bright and silent (no more ballast buzz). I highly recommend these and will be buying more as the rest of my florescent bulbs die out in my garage. One quick note - the 8 foot bulbs sag a tiny bit in the middle once installed and if you email the company after purchase, they will send you clips to hold the center up for free. Great product, great company, highly recommend.

Re-write: Nice lighting of workshop area. These 8 foot tubes aren't rigid enough to keep from sagging under their own weight in the middle of the expanse between their tombstones. I mentioned this in an earlier review. The company read my remarks and offered to send me, free of charge, as many metal clips as I needed to snap the tubes into, supporting them in the center of the fixture. So after using the company supplied supporting clips, my tubes no longer sag in the middle. You may have to drill a hole into your fixture on a line between the tombstones to insert your clips but that's a quick process.it was an easy enough process to rewire and bypass the old ballast.

Just installed these lamps. Installation was easy and straightforward. As other reviewers have said they sag a little in the middle. Not enough to fall out of the sockets. I put a small screw in the center cover above both lamps and put a piece of ballast wire around each screw. I then wrapped the wire around the lamp to support them. Worked out well with the added support.Update 6-3-2018 Bought these in April and I have one lamp dead and another dim. I have contacted them through seller feedback requesting warranty. I will update to see how good the 5-year warranty is. I am more concerned about long-term reliability. Reduced rating by 1 star for premature failure of product.

Really happy I found this company and these lights! Bypassing the ballast is pretty easy, 1st one took 20 mins. last one took 5 mins. Incredible difference in light output between these and the old florescent. Highly Recommended from this customer. Also I see some people concerned about the bulbs sagging in the middle. These bulbs do sag a little but I cannot see that it makes a darn bit of difference, they are not in danger of falling out and they are so bright that you would go blind trying to see it after the initial install.About customer service... It's outstanding! I had one bulb that did not function when I received it. I sent an email to customer service and got a response within 24hrs. The short of it is that the bad bulb got replaced pretty quick.

Amazing difference... rewiring the fixture took five minutes... I would encourage the company to include clips with these to aid in eliminating sag in the tubes. AWESOME PRODUCT.... UPDATE- after using fir a few weeks I’ve gotta say the lights are amazing but the best unexpected bonus is THE QUIET!!! I never realized how noisy ballasts were... AMAZED!!!

I recently retrofitted 16 - 8' fluorescent light strips to LED ready fixtures. Removing the ballasts and direct wiring the units were fast and simple. When these LED lights arrived, I was very impressed in the way they were packaged. Each bulb was in its own cardboard tube. I had read some reviews that the bulbs had a little bow in the middle because of the length of them. They certainly are not very heavy. I chose to purchase the Jovitec 40 Pieces Stainless Steel with Plastic Finish T8 Tube U Shape Clips Holder. I installed them in the middle of the light strip using 1/2" self taping screws and my impact driver. So quick and easy. The bulbs slipped right in. These bulbs are very bright. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. I'm telling everyone I know about these.

We change out old florescent bulbs with this led bulbs and really like the spectrum of light that they give off. Out of 40 bulbs that we purchased, only one bulb gave us some problems. It worked when we first installed, but it must of had a loose connection somewhere in the bulb. It kept shutting off until it would no longer work. I emailed the company and with in 1 week had two bulbs to replace one bulb. I was only expecting one bulb it was thrilled that they shipped two. Now I have one as a back-up. Awesome service and great product. Thanks

These work just as the Youtube videos and reviews say. You do need some basic skills to dismantle the old light and delete the ballast but the diagram included is easy to follow. My lights required me to extend some of the wiring inside the light cavity as their were several lights on one wire.I will agree with other reviews that say they may be too bright. I put these in my shop where I can choose how many lights to turn on but inside a house it could be a bit too much.

J'ai remplacé les néons standards en utilisant les socles existant: très facile... il sufffit de retirer le ballast et de raccorder les fils pour que l'alimentation soit telle que le blanc alimente une extrêmité et le noir l'autre.. et j'ai ajouté le support central recommandé pour le tube qui est plus petit et plus souple qu'un néon standard. J'estime à 15 minutes le temps requis pour procéder au remplacement d'un ensemble de 2 tubes de 8'. Dans l'envoi initial, 2 tubes avaient été pliés et j'ai dû retourner le KIT complet, mais le retour a été tellement rapide que j'ai eu l'impression de recevoir les remplaçants avant de les avoir commandés (dommage de ne pouvoir retourner que les 2 tubes)!

Just remove ballast and rewire tombstones with the existing wires as per drawing that comes with lights.As for longevity,I don't know how long they will last but they come with a five year warranty.No wait time,no buzzing of ballsts and the light lumens is double that of my florecent tubes.

facile a installer avec un peu de connaissance technique en electricité.ne pas oublier de commander les bons socket ainsi que des clips en u pour stabiliser les tubes dans le centre.

This is my third purchase for more bulbs. Slowly converting all of my shop and outbuilding lights. These have worked flawlessly so far for a little over a year now and the light output is very good. Great value, would highly recommend.
