I received the item and it was perfect for my dad. He controlled the liquid. He was swallowing to prevent him from choking.

It is welk-made
What is the little indentation on the lid top for? Nothing mentioned in the instructions.I tried the cup and it works fine for me. But then I’m perfectly healthy and don’t have any issues. I bought it for my husband who has severe memory loss and he can’t use it at all. He cant figure out what to do with it, even with patiend guidance.

Two dosage amounts but not spill proof. Works good
This works great for its intended purpose. I just wish it had some kind of spill proof mechanism on it to keep it from coming out if it accidentally got knocked over or something similar. Other than that, I like that it has two different parts that help with controlling dosages better. I prefer to use the smaller one and just double it if needed.

Great For Parkinson’s Patients
My partner has Parkinson’s. He has trouble with liquids (and hard candy). Aspiration pneumonia is a constant concern. He is forever saying it’s the choking that is going to do him in not the Parkinson’s itself. He learned some great tips from a speech therapist that he went to see for the choking, that has helped quite a bit, but he still occasionally has choking episodes. While I was afraid he would balk at a “sippy cup” he actually was ok with it. He tried it out and seemed to like it. He doesn’t want to use it right away but is happy to have it on hand for the day when he will absolutely need it. He has already said he absolutely does not want to use thickeners for his liquids. This is a great alternative for that.I even tried this out myself. It takes a little getting used to. I like that there is room for the nose, it has handles that make it easy to grip. The uniform size of the cup makes it stable when set on the table (spilling and knocking over drinks has been an issue). There are two different attachments to allow for different sip amounts. The pieces are easy to clean.I would definitely recommend this cup for those with swallowing issues.

Works well with adaptive parts
I have dysphagia, which is choking issues, so I wanted to try an adult cup rather than a cutesy colored child's sippy cup. This cup holds 4.7 oz which is a decent amount of liquid. All the parts wash well on the upper shelves of a dishwasher, but the parts confused me for awhile. There is an bending piece that can be inserted over the main mouthpiece when trying to drink in a reclined position. I prefer not having to put parts together to use a cup so I generally only use when I have a caregiver visiting. I'm not sure the price is reasonable for what you get. The cup looks medical - a more pleasing design or color would have been preferred.

Works Great For Stroke Patients
I was very happy to get the opportunity to try this product. My son-in-law recently had a stroke, and I was trying to find something that he could try to hold (he has no fine motor skills on one side of his body and no feeling on the other). This cup turned out to be very helpful. It gives him some sense of independence when drinking liquids without spilling it, and it also helps him practice grabbing and holding the handles. He also has trouble swallowing, and this cup is working out very well to keep him from choking or aspirating. I highly recommend it.It seems to be well-made, and it's BPA-free. It holds up in the dishwasher, but I've had bad experiences in the past with other plastic cups. After several washings at a high temperature, they cracked. I can't say if this one will do that, but I won't be drying it in the dishwasher at a high temperature.

The cup holds over 8oz of fluid, is dishwasher safe, and can be used for hot or cold drinks
Despite the photos and size of the box, this cup is much smaller than I expected it to be. I have small hands and my hands fill the handles, so I suspect someone with large hands or lumpy joints might have some trouble with this. The cup comes with 2 different liquid dispenser inserts, one for 5 ml per sip, and the other for 10 ml per sip. It came with the 10 ml installed. The lid fits very snugly on top, so it might be difficult for someone with limited dexterity to remove. It has 2 max fill lines on the side. The lower line says that it is for 5 ml per sip and 10 ml per sip, the upper line says it's for 10 ml per sip and 15 ml per sip. The other side shows measurements with a maximum capacity of 250 ml. A cup is 236.6 ml, so if someone can handle 10 to 15 ml per sip, then it can hold just over a cup of fluid. There is also an optional mouthpiece to use while reclining. The bottom of the cup says that it's heat resistant to 100 deg Celsius (212 F, which is boiling water), and that it is both dishwasher and microwave safe. That said, it's still all plastic, so consider that before buying.
