IF YOU'RE BIGGER LIKE I AM- THIS IS THE COMMODE FOR YOU
This commode is solid. It was easy to assemble, very affordable, extremely sturdy and comfortable. I had major surgery in December and am still not able to put weight on both feet. I unapologetically weigh close to 300 lbs. This chair easily holds me, doesn't pinch any part of me and with the awesome fold down handles I feel very safe. This chair will NOT be thrown away once I recover. It's worth every cent and is going in the closet for the long haul. I purchased another bedside commode that had the same weight rating as Loyoda but it was so small that the seat pinched me every single time I used it. It was also too narrow. With Loyoda Drop Arm Bedside Commode I know I got my money's worth.

Sturdy and well built bedside commode
Very sturdy, nicely made bedside commode. Seat height and backrest position are adjustable. The unit comes with arms that can be a3ttached and can be lowered, our particular situation did not require them so I did not attach them to the commode. The seat is comfortable enough, actually better than a standard toilet seat as it is a foam filled vinyl. The unit is plenty strong for me at 170lbs and my wife, who weighs quite a bit less. The lid fits snuggly onto the chamber pot and the pot is easily slid out to the front for cleaning. Overall we both consider it a good purchase while our master bathroom is being remodeled!

Sturdy but needs a more secure bucket
This commode is really very sturdy and functional. The seat is very nicely padded and the arms drop down with little effort. The only thing that could be improved is the bucket. It doesn’t fit in under the seat very securely and could be either bigger or a slightly different shape. I am hoping that the company improves this feature. If not for this I would have given it 5 stars!

Quality to last
Awesome! Very sturdy. A 500# guy could sit securely on this. Well built and good quality. I like the drop down arms. There are 2 magnetic u spacers that you need to take out to let it connect properly for arms. Pail is hugh. An elephant couldn't fill it. Back and seat cushion very good quality. No more butt pinching from cheap seats. There is not a drop dpwn cover.. There is one specifically for bucket. They give you a bucket and a sleeve for putting this over a regular commode. Very well worth the money.

Assembly directions awful!
The reviews that said assembly was simple must have purchased a different product. It took two hours to decipher the provided directions; we ultimately had to figure it out for ourselves! Once assembled, it seems like it will work for ourselves needs, but I can see why this is a frequently returned item; customers just gave up trying to follow the terrible directions!

Great for people with mobility issues.
This has been a godsend for my mom who had impaired mobility due to a complicated fractured femur. The drop arm helped her transition to transferring unassisted faster than the fixed arm type. Lowering one arm meant that we could put it right up against the side of her bed and she could get on/off without physical help. The bedside commode seat is almost the exact same height as a standard bed. The seat and backrest are padded which helps with comfort. Also means it’s not too cold for those nighttime bathroom needs. It was very easy to put together and was completely assembled in under 15 minutes. No tools needed. Great for her self esteem and positive reinforcement that things are progressing well. Highly recommended!

Twofer
I recently had a total hip replacement and this commode was a life saver. There's a bucket underneath the cushioned seat that can easily be removed to discard waste. I purchased commode liners with super absorbent pads that hold liquids, so that made it easier to rid of waste without cleaning the bucket each and every time. No need to purchase a shower chair because this chair easily fit in my shower. The measurements are listed in the description of the chair so you can measure it against your tub to assure a perfit fit. Had I known I wouldn't have purchased a shower chair. Hopefully I can return it. The arms are meant to drop down for people who are a bit bigger, so they can sit comfortably. I took a pic of the button on the sides of the arm. Once pressed the arms are supposed to easily fold down the sides of the commode. Only one of the arms on my chair worked properly. I was unable to return because my surgery was the very same week, so I decided to keep it. I recommend you put the items you'll need for your surgery together with plenty of time to return and receive a new one. The chair was easy to put together. I basically snapped everything in place and it took no time at all. The height can be adjusted with the push of a button on each leg. You can then slide it up or down to the next opening until you get the desired height. I submitted pics of the liners I used. I highly recommend.

Drop Arm Commode safety
It is overall a sturdy chair. However, the vinyl seat and back covers are of very cheap quality. The material sticks to the skin and wrinkles badly after only one short seating. The left drop arm does not stay in position and drops down by itself. This presents a dangerous situation for an elderly who needs to hold the arms to stand up.
