have had these on the deck of my camper for 3 years and they work as good as the day i put them up. use them all year round, from sub-zero to hot temperatures... sometime they get left on all weekend , day and night.. never an issue .the suggested clips to hold them are not for these lights

Love these lights. Put on deck at campground. They look great. Very bright

We always wanted to lite the house this way! Loved the way it turned out. Whish they could be hardwired to a switch but love the effect.

Pros: Cant say enough how I could bend these strips the wrong way with no issue. They are super built and get very bright.Cons: The remote is cheap. Ability to cut them is only every 20 inches so I took a star, Sry.

About half the length was burnt. I didn't unroll it right away after buying.

I really like these lights, the only down fall is the remote. It works fine when close . But does not have good distance. Other then that.great product.

This review is for the RGB strip, 20m length. I used it to light the soffit all around the ceiling of our master BR.First, the details: the product came in a box for a different product (laser light strip, 50m), and the included clips were too small (presumably they fit the laser light strip, but they could not be used for the RGB strip). Fortunately, I had also ordered the recommended set of clips (also from IAKOV) separately and those were larger and indeed fit.I unspooled the strip when i received it and plugged it in to test colors and individual LED chips. All chips worked, but initially red was missing from all colors -- I just got combinations of blue and green; as I had read of the problem in another review of a different brand, I simply manipulated the connection of the light strip to the control box and, presto, the red appeared alongside the other two. It seems the problem is due to the fact that the product is shipped with that connection (and, indeed, even the control box) rolled onto the wheel holding the strip, creating tension on the connection and causing poor contacts. It now works and is robust -- moving the connection around does not disconnect the red.Installation was easy, the strip is very substantial and takes the desired curves in the corners as well as the slight upward slope (needed for soffit lighting) easily and well.The light is not very bright overall -- I expected more from so many 5050 LED chips, but even at full power on white, it's not enough to light up the room; that's OK by me, as soffit-lighting is for mood and ambiance, not for lighting the room, but you should not use this product if you want enough light to read by.So far, so good and I would have given 4 stars. The reason I reduced it to 3 stars is that the colors displayed are not very good. The controller lets you ask for pure red (a spectacular deep red, much brighter than I would have expected), pure blue (looking a bit grey to me), and pure green (not very saturated, but fine), white (on the cold end of the spectrum, looking blueish), and 12 other choices, three columns of 4 buttons each. These 12 are the problem; the first column is supposed to show red/vermilion (red-orange)/pale orange/yellow, but actually shows pale orange/ochre yellow/pale greenish yellow/pale green; the second column is devoted mostly to blues, but does not achieve any decent deep blue, although it provides a very nice aqua; and the third column is for russets/purples and does the best job of the three columns. (A card included with the package describes a reset procedure that should improve the match between remote and actual color displayed; I used that procedure several times, to no effect.Fade (shifting colors) uses only 7 of the 16 choices available (R/G/B/W + 12) and has a noticeable blip (off/on in rapid succession when coming to the end of each color cycle.I've had a 12V RBG LED strip, just 6m lenght, for several years, where the colors are clearly better, the fade shifts through all available colors, and the colors displayed match the choice made on the remote, so these issues are not intrinsic to the technology.This being said I am still giving 3 stars, because it's a good deal for the price, it seems to be of high quality (except for the control box), is easy to install, and is one of the very few choices available for a strip that feeds directly off 110/220V, without requiring a transfomer.
