I wanted to learn to hula hoop for exercising. I also had a fun "Olympic" event at work to celebrate the Olympics. One of the "sports" was who could hula hoop the longest time. Well, the person who won, hula hooped for 45min! I was impressed and wanted to do that. I received this hula hoop and was instantly like "wow!" I was almost instantly doing it. It was so easy to learn. At 47 years old, I was hula hooping from 30 sec to 10min in a couple of days. I can now go for 15min and that's exciting and fun. I'm so glad I decided to purchase the hula hoop even though it's a bit pricey. It's worth it and really pretty and well made. I purchased the largest size because I'm a tall female (5'8, 160lbs). You definitely need alot of space because it's huge! I definitely would buy one, again. I can't wait to get to 45 min! #GOALS

I received my gorgeous hoop a couple days after ordering. It actually formed into a circle much faster than expected because of the extreme heat wave hitting our state at the time, so I got I start hooping later the same day—and I haven’t stopped since. This hoop is so fun and so comfortable, I feel like I could do it for hours once I’m in the groove. I love it so much that I wanted to get another I could travel with. I texted the company and they got back to me promptly and helped me select my next perfect hoop. This company is the real deal: they care about creating quality products and they value their customers. I couldn’t be happier, and I can’t wait for my next hoop to arrive!

Quick help facts when looking for a Hula Hoop. I spent MONTHS looking for a hoop, and in the mean time had a cheap one. UGH!. I kept reading about what people didn't like, weight, size to choose, bruising and falling apart. I was getting a bit frustrated as not sure which one to buy. It's not like they are cheap.I looked at the Sports Hoop because it has soooo many reviews, it was in my cart even. There are two types of these, the regular and the Wavy Hoop. So, to get this one out of the way, DON'T even bother. I tried it at a sale, someone was selling it. I see now why. It was made of foam on the outside and was chipping or just pieces that were coming off of it. This could be caused from nails, falling and it gets bumped etc. In playing with it I just didn't like the way it felt when trying to hula hoop. It also was Very Large. The one I tried was the Wavy one. Very uncomfortable.I came home and started ready again. There are two sizes it seams small and large.So I am just going to get to why I went with this one. I was really not ready to spend the money on what was just a Hula Hoop.I am 5'4 and 126 pds and 50 years. I loved it as a kid and my Chiropractor actually said it would be good for my hips to stay stable and in place and I am moving the joints and getting mobility to them. I went with the small as in reading the hoop size should go to about the middle of your waste. The size of the small did. I think if you were taller you would want the bigger one. Measure yourself to see where you think it should be.Regardless of size, these hoops are going to be bigger than the hoops you see in the stores like Walmart or somewhere else you might see.IF YOU follow the instructions, you WILL HAVE NO problems putting this item together. Let it rest in a warm place for 6 hours to get the hoop to relax from shipping and any cold weather it traveled through. Follow how to put it together after that and your ready to go. I have had absolutely no issues with it. It is very durable and well made.I have had mine for awhile now, use it everyday. If you are not use to Hula Hooping or have never done it, be patient. Start off slow for about 10 minutes going one way and then reverse your direction going the other way. Don't just always hoop in the same direction. I admit I was a little tender around my waste for a couple days, but that should be normal with anything you do. You don't just start exercising and not expect to be sore, if you do, you are not getting a work out.I can actually Hula Hoop for 20 minutes one way and then I reverse it going the other direction for 20 mins while watching TV. I am actually surprise at how fast the time goes. Probably as I am distracted by a show. :) My waste is getting stronger and my hips are staying in place. I actually am starting to see definition in my stomach muscle as well. Which excites me. You have to be patient with any exercise you do and the benefits you are wanting. Nothing happens over night.I feel the weight is perfect for me. I actually challenge myself also by moving the hoop at a pretty fast rate for a few minutes on and on during the hooping session. For the most part I am not going slow, I am moving that hoop and a good pace which is what you want. If you are going to slow you are not going to reap any of the benefits you are really wanting if this is for an exercise benefit. If for fun that is different.They say you can't walk or move with this hoop. That is crap. I can move, walk and play around with it and have fun with music I play from my Ipod. I have never done a dance move with it like on the videos you can order as I don't have any yet. I like playing around with it and challenging myself. I am thinking of maybe getting one, but for now love to watch or catch up on shows while I do this.I have actually now started thinking of getting another one and added some water to it for a different type of work out. I am very happy with it, can't say enough about a product I was skeptical about spending 40 bucks on. Again, I am 50 and my husband has even started doing it with me and we laugh and actually have fun with it at times challenging each other to fun saying "well can you do this" :)Hoop came fast and well packaged.Enjoy and you won't regret your decision. Just make sure you follow instructions FIRST for the hoop and then you are set. Happy hooping

I like the weight, adds a bit of challenge for the hoop tricks and cardio endurance. Seems very durable so far, tape is holding up well, as is the shape. Seems a little heavy for a beginner, but overall a great hoop. Def recommend

Be warned—these are not super heavily weighted... But that's okay! They are still very sturdy, colorful, fun and easy to use (and also not painful for people not used to heavy hoops). I purchased one in each size and have no regrets. They are fun for different reasons. You actually have to move a little differently to get different sizes to stay up. We use ours to assist for PE at home during the day, and it's a blast. We plan to take them traveling with us to help with our kids' (and our own) energy.These are excellent for core (ab/back muscles) building, but won't spot reduce fat. However, one can't argue with strengthening core muscles AND having fun doing it. Awesome for both mind and body health. Yay for happy movement!

This is a great weighted hula hoop for exercise. I like that the tubing itself gives the hoop its weight and not additions to the hula hoop. It was easy to put together with just the one button snap after waiting the 24 hours for it to relax after unpacking. I’ve taken this on vacations in the car, had it in storage for a time and almost 4 years later it’s still perfect and still in use. Love it! I will loan it to a friend so she can decide if she wants to order one from Canyon Hoops herself. It will decrease your waistline. Great exercise! Made in the USA!

This hula hoop is absolutely gorgeous. It is very professionally taped for grip/traction. It is slightly heavy as to create more momentum. I ordered the bigger size because I am using this as a work out method. I wanted the the slightly heavier and longer hoop. It is amazing. I couldn’t wait to leave this review because of how blown away I am at the quality of this hoop. The assembly was literally one click. I was using it immediately out of the package even though it says to lay it flat for 24 hours. I don’t need more of these hoops but now I kinda want one in every color 😂 what a great product. You can tell just by holding it that it is made with thick quality materials. I almost ordered a hoop from moodhoops for almost 200$ because I just couldn’t find a quality hoop. I read the reviews on this hoop and decided to try it. I’m so glad I did! This is a great price for such an amazing product!
