Dots Are the Way To Go!
For such tiny little things, dots sure make a big difference. I'm a die-hard notebook-er, and I have been anxious to use this little book for quite some time. And the wait was worth it. Running 17 across by 28 lengthwise -- for a total of 476 -- these tiny spots are almost invisible, which is exactly what you want them to be. Whether you write across, up or down, or diagonally, whether you draw freehand or even use a ruler, these teeny specks provide a very appreciated guide for your work, making it easy to stay even and measured as you go along. The really nice thing is how close to "invisible" they are: when you glance at a page, they almost appear not to be there. And once you write on a page --especially if you use a nice dark pen, like I do -- they really recede into virtual nothingness, making it appear that you are just uncannily organized. But don't forget the other great feature: the heavy-stock paper is high-quality and practically impervious to bleeding ink from one side to the other. I use black as well as gel pens, and unless I hold it up to the light I cannot see what is written on the other side. Additional "points" I like: 1. The book starts with 2 blank pages (or one "sheet"), then 3 lined pages for a Table of Contents, a blank page, 185 dotted pages, and one final blank one, for a total of 192 pages in all. All -- whether they are lined or not -- are imprinted in light grey. 2. The DOTTED pages are NUMBERED, which is really nice and helps you keep tabs for your Table of Contents. 3. An elastic band to keep the book closed when you want to. 4. A sheet of peal-able stickers upon which you can write your name or label your books, whether on the front, back, or on the binding. 5. A pocket in the back for holding slim sheets. About the only things I could see as improvements would be giving us a choice of having an even thicker book. The Zequenz I use has 400 pages, which is great for those who think part of the beauty of these little books is that they will stick around twice as long, making replacing them occur HALF as often. All in all, though, this is one TERRIFIC notebook, and about as good as they get.

I love this notebook
I love this notebook. It is similar to the Moleskin notebooks I've had while being subtly better in basically every way. I like the paper quality of this more than the Moleskin. This paper feels smoother and is nicer to write on. I think it may also be a sharper white, though I know some people like creamier paper. It holds up well to ballpoint pens with some show through, no worse than many others, that doesn't render the backside unusable. I've also used it with a finer fountain pen and it fared well (Pilot metro w/ Shaeffer ink). The number pages and table of contents are brilliant. I use this to take notes that I need to reference later and this makes a ludicrously huge difference. If you don't use them they are unobtrusive and it can be treated as any other non numbered notebook. Binding quality is nice and feels both pleasant and sturdy. The included labels are not something I've used, but are very nice if you wish to start something that needs to be archived. If I still worked in my old lab I'd probably buy some of these. This is hands down my favorite pocket notebook I've ever used.

Switched From Moleskine
I have been a long term user of Moleskine, particularly the pocket size for years. I loved the size and format of the pocket but there was one serious flaw, the Moleskine's paper was just too thin. I use fountain pens almost exclusively and the bleed through on Moleskine was irritating to the point that I gave my blank Moleskines away. After doing some research, I bought a few Rhodia pocket size notebooks and the paper was fantastic but the covers are pretty thick making the overall notebook a little too thick for me. So on to the Leuchtturm. The Leuchtturm is very similar to the Moleskine. The cover is almost exactly the same. The Leuchtturm is 1/4 taller than the Moleskine (it's 1/8 inch taller than the Rhodia) and is the same thickness as the Moleskine. It also has a pocket in the back like a Moleskine. The Leuchtturm has index pages in the front and each page is numbered. I find both those features really handy. So far, I have not had any issues with the use of fountain pens. I will continue to evaluate these and I'll update my review if I notice any issues.

Perfect Travel/EDC Notebook
I love this notebook, it's the perfect size to carry everyday. Numbered pages, great for fountain pen use, and very high quality. This is an A6 size that's unique to the brand, so many covers will not fit this one. Either use it just as the notebook itself, or find a cover made specifically for these, otherwise you might be disappointed that it doesn't fit inside other covers. I use these exclusively for edc and mind mapping, I buy a few a year and always will buy this one, can't recommend it enough, just be aware of the sizing.

Way better than moleskine
Moleskines have been a godsend for me. They're small enough to take with me. Sturdy enough to last (though not as sturdy as I'd like; they usually fall apart before I fill them up). This is a superior item to the moleskine. How is it superior? 1) Dots. Better than squares. This is going to be my go-to format. I also prefer the fact that they are light. The moleskine's squares are obnoxiously dark; they interfere with both writing and reading. 2) They numbered the pages. I've wasted hours of my life putting page numbers in notebooks. 3) They made a table of contents; yay! 4) The included helpful stickers for making titles. This is huge; I have a stack of moleskines at this point, and the only way to organize them at a glance is to use sharpie on the edge 5) The rubber band and bookmarks are made of sturdier material 6) The paper is superior in quality. 7) It is cheaper and has more pages than a moleskine This is a hardcover, and it is going to be my go-to notebook from now on. These guys have earned my business.

Well bound and with good quality paper for fountain pen use. No feathering or bleed through with a range of ink and pen types I have tried. Nice additional features for indexing etc
