NIGHT CIRCUS, THE

Read about this book in several reviews and found it as majikal as promised!

I love Night Circus. I have listen to it and read it once a year (each) since it has come out. I actually got this copy for my SIL for Christmas. My favorite part about this book is thinking of new tents to add to the Circus. I have spent many nights thinking of what tents would fit in and how guests would react. I have also based a DnD one shot around the players needing to help Bailey save the Circus. The romance in this book is light and a slow burn. The magic and characters make this book stand out. It is a good read for both YA and old. My husband also likes it as well.

As someone who has always loved the circus, I really enjoyed this book! It’s so atmospheric, whimsical, mysterious, beautifully written and full of memorable characters. A mystery is threaded throughout that keeps you guessing until the very end. Loved the sweet romance too! My only complaint is that there were parts that dragged, for example, an entire page devoted to describing the decor at a party. A matter of personal taste—If the author had shaved down a bit of the excess details, it would’ve been a masterpiece. Still, it’s an amazing book and definitely worth the read and one that will likely stay with me for a very long time!

One of my favorite books. Beautifully written, wonderful characters who are fully developed, and the circus! It’s the circus you would imagine if you had several years and a wild imagination. The design of the circus, the different shows and tents, makes this hard to put down. I love the way it grows and how the people are entwined with it, and even the darkness and conflict are rich and complex. It will be reread each year, probably, as I already think of it as a classic. Perfect present for anyone who likes fiction.

The book itself is a great read but the book came bent in the corners, the front coating was peeling off, and there was grease on the back of it. Not sure if I got a used one or was just thrown around in the warehouse.

It was a good book with brilliant imagery and I loved the entire concept of the night circus itself!

Beautifully written and a joy to read

The book came in great condition... No damages at all. Now moving on to the content of the book... It was AMAZING.. the atmosphere of the book was so realistic. You could feel that you are there in the circus. The anecdotes are really great. If you are looking for a fast paced and drama filled book then this is not for you. This book is slow paced and it is really very detailed and it is mainly character driven. If you want to read something unique and fantastic then this is the perfect book. And pls don't go into the book thinking that there will be a huge competition.. Two people fighting against each other etc.. This is not exactly like that and many people get dissapointed. This is a more matured book and it deals with certain issues and it's really great.

Love this author. Was loaned 'The Starless Sea' by daughter in law to read, as she highly recommended. Loved that book so much I decided to order 'The Night Circus' I'm sure I won't be disappointed and cannot wait to get drawn in again. I love her writing and the way you get drawn into these other worldy places, some magical escape.
