LASE Replacement Amplifier Module for Mackie SRM 450, V2 Powered Speaker w DSP

I originally purchased a pair of these amplifiers for my Made in Italy v1 450s but found they work absolutely perfectly in my C300 v1s that were also Made in Italy and have the RCF components. I've always felt the C300s were severely anemic in the low end even when heavily EQ'd. These Lase amps literally bring them to life with the integrated DSP and make those RCF 12s thump just has hard as my 450s. It's so cool that I was able to make my passive speakers Active. The only thing I recommend you do right away is throw away the included power cord. It is laughable. Even though it's Class D I'm a firm believer in heavy awg power cords for all of my equipment whether it requires it or not. I have proof that amps will start clipping at high volumes when they're starved for power. The only thing I'm slightly worried about is if Lase puts out firmware updates for this amplifier there's no way to update them. There's no USB port inside or outside the amp. One week update: I am truly amazed at how punchy and powerful these amplifiers are. I ran my Mackie C300s at very high volume for about an hour and these Lase amps never clipped or shown signs of fatigue. When these speakers were brand new I doubt RCF knew the horn and 12 inch driver could sing and thump like this! I will not hesitate to buy again and urge you to do the same if you have classic Mackies you want to revive.

Well it definitely doesn't compare to the original Mackie. This thing is constantly saying Overload while the original Mackie has much more to go. It took a little playing around to get it to sound like the original Mackie speaker. But this thing cost peanuts, compared to a original Mackie 450 amplifier. If they made it a run at 500 or 550 then it would be a steal, and would run and sound as good as the original.

Only negative is it doesn’t have a timed shutoff like the OEM

The module fits perfectly in the the Mackie SRM450V2 speaker, sounds great, and updates the overall functions since it adds a 2nd channel and Bluetooth plus the built-in DSP adjustments.

Installed in a JBL EON505 that could no be repaired, this replacement board worked perfect.

SRM 450A. Mackie SRM 450 V2. Is now back in action. Kit came with longer screws as new amp package does not sit as deeply in the back of the speaker as the old one. Thus the old screws were not long enough. Giving four out of five stars because DSP knob is proud of the rear case exposing it to damage. Sound quality is great, the DSP allows you to switch between speaker and monitor mode. It also allows you to individually adjust trouble mid and base plus -13 DB. 115 versus 230 V AC is selectable by a switch on the back instead of being automatic like the original

fit perfectly to the back of my speaker boxes. Works like new, much less bother and expense than repairing the blown up amp. I would buy it again.
