RepairBox Controller Silicone for N64

The buttons feel solid. Unfortunately the DPad is too stiff and feels mushy. I wanted this kit specifically for the DPad replacement because most SNES controllers I have used have unusably mushy DPads from use over the years. Another minor annoyance that I have is that the Start and Select buttons are not the right color. They are light grey.I gave it a 3 because the rest of the buttons truly feel good which means.

These replacements are good if your controller has become unusable. However the quality of the DPAD and Shoulder buttons are very squishy. The shoulder pads are usable but not nearly as pleasing as the OEM, but still usable. The pad for the DPAD is so squishy that its nearly unusable thought. Diagonal presses on the DPAD with this pad is extremely lack luster and very hard to feel with your hand. Overall I'd say the start/select buttons are passable, the xyab buttons are okay, the shoulder buttons are lacking, and the dpad is bad. If your controller is unusable though, this are sufficient to restore functionality, not original feel

Does your SNES controller feel unresponsive or overly mushy whenever you press a button? Before you spend money on another controller that likely has the same problem, consider opening up your controller and replacing the silicone pads instead. You see, these pads are what press down on the controller's circuit board every time you press a button, so over time they become worn out from being pushed down on for so many gaming sessions. Replacing them is simple, even if you aren't used to refurbishing electronics, so it's an easy and effective way to make your old gamepad feel new again.So why did I knock a star off? A minor setback, really. These are a tad thicker than the original, and as such the d-pad silicone feels a little too stiff. It could just be from being brand new, since I just replaced the pads on the same day of this review, and probably will loosen up after a bit more use. I'd really prefer if I could knock off half a star, since it likely won't bother anyone other than a real perfectionist.

Semi-competitive smash 64 player here. I installed these in my controller hoping they would make my buttons snappy again. They are worse than my mushy and worn out OEM silicones. The button heights are not right either. The plastic buttons rattle a lot more with these installed when compared to OEM. Overall, not worth purchasing unless you have an otherwise not functional controller. I tried to return them but the seller charges a 15% restocking fee if there isn’t a ‘manufacturer defect’ as well as charges for return shipping. Not worth the hassle. I wish I could recommend a good vendor for silicone replacement but I haven’t found one.

Don't let the nit-picky parts get you, these are drop in replacements for the worn original button pads and will get your controller back to a better place for most users. The rubber is indeed blue and the pads are dimensionally darn near exact copies of the originals. The issues here are the feel and the response of the rubber. It is indeed a little sluggish, with a mushy reset. the break is not as crisp as I would like. If you can stand to do this, buy a Cirka controller and take it apart for the grey button pads. Those are better feeling BUT you won't be able to use much else from it, aside from the buttons. The Cirka joystick is close, but you can't use Cirka joystick parts on an OEM joystick, and again does not perform as well as a fresh OEM one.

These so far are working great. I ordered this kit to replace one of the rubber pads under the shoulder buttons of my controller. It does feel a little softer when pushing on it but it works perfectly so i can't hate on it. The rubber pads are blue for some reason, and some people seem to be hating on that. But once you put the pads in the controller and close it up, you wont even see them. The only gripe I have is the start and select button pad seems too smooth and shiny compared to the original buttons. But over all this is a good and cheap way to tune up those old controllers.

I bought two of these for my original SNES controllers, which seemed to be a little worn down. The buttons feel much more responsive, especially the L R trigger buttons, but the d-pad is far too stiff and it makes it feel like mush. Fortunately, the d-pads on my controllers were in good shape so I kept those original pads but replaced the rest with this product. Having said that, I'm happy with this for what I needed it for, but if you want your d-pad to feel like new this isn't the product for you.

It is a decent replacement for the SNES mini controller. Unfortunately the B button pad started to wear out and I needed something to replace it. I found this set and while it isn't a 100% fitment, it does work for it. Time will tell how long the silicone lasts. I should note, I only purchased this set to use the A, B, X, Y buttons, I do not have any experience with the D-pad, shoulder or Start/Select button pads.

Etwas teuer, Farbe weicht ab vom Bild (Blau statt Grau für die nicht sichtbar verbauten Pads). Funktioniert aber top.

Estas gomas quedan perfectas a los controles originales y le dan nueva vida para que duren otros 20 años más.

These feel like the originals.
