These worked very well on flex beds. I had a hospital bed with no side rails on the bottom half and these fit great but if the person moves a lot you’ll need side pads which I did purchase on Amazon as well.

I needed a bed rails for my children. I was put of by reviews of some kids bed rails that are actually made for kids, by common complains of their poor quality, non-longevity, short length or hight and the list of negatives goes on. However you are expected to pay 20-50 range for these flimsy one-side only bedrail.This bedrail attracted my attention because it was all made of metal and it is extends to the full bed length. And small kids are moving all around the bed, I cant imagine how half-size rails will keep them from falling!I was worried about that the design of these medical rails would be cumbersome and hard to lower. I was able to install them with ease while husband was away. We have a bed that has platform with drawers, so I was worried that It wont fit or block the drawer access. Nope! This frame is amazingly versatile, and you can adjust it so many ways to customize the fit to your bed. The best part, that when fully extended these rails could be so high - the lower bar would be level with the top of the mattress. The knobs are easy to work if you want to lower the whole rail below the level of mattress.My only wish they would make them in different color, and least in while to match different style furniture.Invest your money in these rails if you have a couple small kids.

My 93-yr-old mother has dementia and keeps trying to get out of bed by herself. I have a baby monitor and a bed alarm while the two of us are at my house, but I was getting no sleep, with that alarm going off a number of times during the night. With these bed rails, it's no longer a problem. Very easy to install, and the lower height is enough to keep her from getting out of bed. She complains that the bars are hard when she wants to curl up her legs and they rest against the bars. Haven't figured out what to do about that yet, but I'm working on it. The bed is a twin, so no spare room for bolsters/pillows along the sides.The bars are well-made and very sturdy. Will be ordering another set for her bed at her house when we go there for the summer.

I bought this for my elderly disabled mother so she wouldn't get out of bed during the night & fall. Set up was easy but I needed 3 people.....2 to lift the mattress up & one to lay the bars under. I adjusted the bars length to fit the width of a queen size adjustable bed then laid the bars under the mattress & snapped the rails into the bars on each side of the bed. The rails are easy to take on & off or lift & lower with a pull of the pins. The rails come up high & are sturdy & heavy.Update: I've used this for a month raising & lowering the rails twice daily and I'm having problems with getting one side of the rail up and down. When pulled up the rail which is supposed to spring load release and snap into place but it's wanting to come completely out & not lock. I have to play around to get it to snap in which I'm afraid is going to eventually make it inoperable. Also the plastic cap cover at the bottom opening of the rail cracked in half and fell out.

These rails were super simple to assemble and work just as described. My only wish is that there were more options fro adjusting the width .... There was no option which fit the twin bed where I have them installed— they still work fine, just stick out further from the side of the bed than I would prefer. They are very easy to raise and lower.

The quality is great. The length, top of bed to middle of bed is a bit too long. I had hoped to use it on an electric bed, but as the top of the bed came up the top of the bed rail would fall off the bed. So definitely not for use on an electric bed. Also slides very easily up and down the bed under the mattress, so using it to pull yourself up sometimes slides the rail assembly way up and off the top of the bed - actually only the one rail you are pulling on falls off the bed, the other stays under the mattress as the assembly twists easily. It didn't really work well for the heavy person who I bought it for. The best thing about it is that it was very easy for the heavy person to grab the side and turn over in the bed.

Received these in 2 days with prime. I am very impressed. I'm s physical therapist with 25 years of experience with mist of those years spent I skilled nursing while nursing facilities have done away with full length bed rails for fear of entrainment of someone with dementia trying to climb over in my opinion those changes are more to protect against potential litagstion because such facilities are ill equipped to keep a patient from getting out of bed on their own if they are not safe to do so. With that as backdrop I have to say these rails are awesome. They fit my 95 year old mothers queen size bed with no problem. Once installed under mattress they are pretty secure. To raise and lower ease of pill pin. The rails alone while stable have a little too much okay for me but once I put rail bumper pads on they are very solid with little play. I also bought bed roll pad that goes under the fitted sheet do there is no chance that she could get any limb or neck etc caught between rail and sude of bed. - ie I don't see any intrapment risk. Of course each situation is different and you will need to make that call for your loved ones but after two days of use of love the set up on my moms bed. To all caregivers out there stay strong. You are doing a great thing taking care of a loved one at home.

Just what was needed to keep my wife safe in her bed. She feels as safe as if she was on a hospital bed. Thanks.

Flimsy and not fully adjustable. Only slightly adjustable to the holes drilled into the bars and not the size you'll need for a perfect fit. Being that they aren't a snug fit, they are wobbly. If you want one side full and the other side only half it twists the bars so much that the height adjusters don't line up with the holes they are to snap into. I'm just not impressed with anything about this product.
