Moves Tight Grommets with Ease
I was at my wits end trying to open and close my curtains across a long span of wall. There is not even space enough to fit the pull rod into the grommet to lift it over the pole connections. It still works well just by sitting the pull rod next to the grommet and pushing it with a slight upward lift. No more climbing on a stool to move them by hand! The rod is light, sturdy, and well constructed.

Great item!
If you are considering getting those expensive plastic wands for each grommet drapery set in your home, save yourself a lot of money and get this instead. For the cost of one of those cheap sets you can only use on one set of drape, you get a far more functional wand that not only can open or close all drape sets in a room and can arrange the panels as well to tidy the look. It extends too, so it can be used on short or long drapes, so one size fits all. I keep one in our master bedroom and a second tool is used for the bedrooms on the other side of the house. Very happy with my purchase!

Looks nice, does the job
I have floor to ceiling drapes in my bedroom and did not want to attach ugly plastic rods in order to open and close them I found this and thought it would work for me. When I opened the box, I wasn't disappointed. It's a nice bronze color, has a nice lever that locks the rod length in place (works great), and hangs discretely away on my rods. However, I thought it would be a stronger material for the price. The rod flexes if too much pressure is used. I have adjusted the way I use the rod so that I don't bend it, but I am disappointed. I will be on the look out for a solid one piece unit, like they have in stores.

I love grommet curtains because they are relatively inexpensive
Where has this thing been all my life?I love grommet curtains because they are relatively inexpensive, so it’s easy to change the look of a room if you want. I hate grommet curtains because there is no easy way to open and close them. The taller the curtain, the harder they are to manipulate. Plus, if your grab them all the time to open and close them, they get dirty quick. I have 6 windows with grommet curtains that are 8’ tall in my master bedroom and 2 windows in my family room also with grommet curtains that are 10’ tall. I’m only 5’ tall. I looked here on Amazon and realized that there aren’t many options for opening and closing curtains. There are only a couple options. There are plastic drapery wands with the metal clips, which come in a 2 pack, so you’d need a set for each window. These are priced somewhere between $20 - $30 a set, depending on length and style. Since I have 8 windows, I’d need to spend between $160 and $240 to open and close my curtains. I found this product and realized that since I had to walk to each window to open or close the curtains anyway, this would be A LOT cheaper. Plus, it telescopes, so it is perfect for me! I wasn’t really sure how it was supposed to be used with grommet curtains because the pictures don’t really show you. After playing around with it, I realize that the curtains are much easier to move around the closer you are to the curtain rod. The shape of the hook allows it to fit right under the rod and push the curtains open very quickly. Kinda like a shuffleboard stick. To close the curtains, I put the hook between the first and second grommet and they slide closed! (I took some pictures) If you need to adjust the spacing between the grommets because you are OCD, the rubber tips grab on to the fabric and make adjusting easy. This thing is really well built and super easy to use. The hook hanger part is just a bonus for me. I have some purses that I store on the top shelf of my closet. If I wanted to use them, I had to grab the step ladder. With this I just hook them. Super easy. I imagine that there could be a lot of uses for this thing. I’m really happy with my purchase.

Like that it's adjustable & you can use it for more than moving drapes
Purchased 11/2021 Reviewed 3/2024. Well, I've had this for some time now and I absolutely use it every day & I'm extremely glad I got it. I have some floor to ceiling drapes that separate living room from dining & kitchen area. I always use this rod to open and close the drapes - using this tool makes it so easy to slide the drapes on the tension rod and of course - KEEP THE DRAPES CLEAN!!! The tool stores/hangs right on the rod. Now, over time I've found that I can use this for other purposes, especially because it's adjustable.1. Something falls on the floor & rolls under the couch, just slide this under the couch to get it - no problem, lengthen the handle if necessary. How about falling into an awkward place to reach - send this in to nudge it forward & out.2. Something out of your reach, (now be careful with this if items are breakable) - I've used it to reach into deep cabinets & pull or nudge something closer to me so I can grab it.3. When I delivered a bunch of boxes to charity (after cleaning out the garage & closets) I took this along - I was able to hook the box corners and again, nudge them towards the end of the pickup for unloading. In other words, I used this as a reach pole - something that I use to use quite alot of in my delivery job with packages. This drapery pull pole has a good weight to it, when I slide the drapes it nicely supports the drapes while moving it, no tugging of the material.

Wonder Tool!!!
This item is made to last with a very good finish. Not only does it fit the bill for opening and closing my heavy velvet drapes but I have also used it to get hanging flower baskets on high hooks (Im just 5' under tall). get broken branches out of my tall crepe myrtle after gutter installation, lift a stuck dead branch from a tree and retrieve a shoe from beneath my king sized bed. I keep it hanging on the drapery rod so I will know where to find it when the next opportunity arises. Thanks so very much for this very valuable addition to my life.
