Does this attach to an existing stud, if so how?

Yes it does, very easily! The center piece slides over the stud and a pin goes through the hole in the stud, then the outside pieces goes over that, and has 2 Allen head screws that tighten up and apply pressure to the pin to hold it tight. I have 4 of these on different rifles and they are great. never have had a problem with them.

Anyone try this on a ruger 10/22 Sporter stock? Is the fit ok?

Only on a Hogue stocked 10/22 and it fit fine.

Will this fit a ruger 10/22 target lite? the underside of the forend is flat

I’ve got a couple of these. One of them on a 10/22 Hogue stock that’s fairly flat and it works just fine.

Works Perfectly for Bipod

Follow the instructions. You have to disassemble the parts first and put then in order. This will lock the pin in place. Once assembled and made snug, it's been fabulous for a bipod mounted to a older gen savage axis 2 with standard swivel stud.
