Treats didn't stay in bone
My dogs love the treats, but 8 out of 10 times, the treat wouldn't stay in the toy. I had high hopes. They were dashed quickly. My dogs would dump the treat and be done with the toy.

So far so good!
I purchased this for my 40-something pound Shiba Inu mix hoping the tasty center would entice him to chew. He's not a chewer at all and we've had big dental cleaning bills...my vet encouraged me to keep trying to find something he might like, so I gave this a shot. He loves it! Even when the center treat was gone, he continued to chew all day. He has never shown any interest in nylabones, so I am guessing this chicken flavor must be better than the 'original' according to him.I did not purchase the replacement inserts. As one reviewer suggested I smashed some mini carrots in instead. This prevents the issue of pre-made treats not fitting if the bone is chewed around those edges. I also have some low calorie treats by 'Get Naked' and 'Zukes' I think will work if I freeze them in using mashed pumpkin, which both my dogs love and I use instead of peanut butter. Incidentally, my Puggle loves this equally even though it is huge for him. I will be ordering another so they don't have to fight over it.

Durable but the treat falls out
My dogs love these bones but it’s hit and miss if the treat fits snugly in the holder. I got these to entertain my dogs for a bit which works if the fit is snug but otherwise the treat just falls out and gets eaten instantly. 2/4 started out good but now after a few (less than 5 uses)only 1 fits well. The dogs still like to chew on the bone without treats occasionally.

One of the best things you can buy for pooches that like to chew a lot!
We have a Beagle. While Beagles are always great at chewing up stuff they shouldn't, ours is a whole different level. He actually ate through our garage door to get inside since we were in there drinking and we'd locked him in the back so he couldn't run away since the door was open. Every toy that claims to be indestructible that we've tried has usually lasted a day or less. Bones get annihilated. Boy can chew is the moral of the story here. This is the one and only thing we've found that can stand up to him, and he LOVES the treat sticks that go in the middle. One of the best things we've purchased for him and we always keep a box of the treats that go in it on hand!

You need to modify this product to get it to work.
Ironically the treat that came with this item fell out when inverted. So did the $100 worth of other treat inserts. I need to pinch the edge of the treat channel with really strong vice grips after heating the nylon bone in boiling water to make it hold the treats in place. Once I do that this thing lasts almost a year with nightly “treat time”. Keeps an 80 lb Doberman busy for almost 20 minutes.

Good toy for strong chewers
My two dogs (over 70 lbs) are very hard on toys. I have trouble finding dog toys that will last. I heard about this one from a friend and decided to try it. I purchased 2 of these plus a refill pack of the treats. My dogs absolutely love this chew bone. They will work on it for 30+ minutes until they get the treats out. It is a good toy if you have strong chewers and you want them to be occupied for a while. This toy has lasted over several weeks and the ends are looking worn but overall they still retain the treats and my dogs love them, so I bought 2 more as replacements for when the first 2 are too worn out for them.

Couldn't live without it
This treat has been a godsend for us! We have a big German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix that is very high energy and this has been the perfect product to focus his attention on when trying to cook dinner or exercise or basically do anything that doesn't involve him. He's still in the puppy stage and is very bitey and we've been able to redirect the biting to the nylabone rather than our hands and shoes. He'll even sit and chew on it for long periods when there's not a treat in it. It's a teething lifesaver! He loves his romp and chomp and I'm very thankful to have discovered it. The pumpkin flavor is definitely his favorite but he's crazy about the chicken as well.

Inconsistent sizing
My dog loves these treats. The problem I have with them is the inconsistency with sizing. I had ones that fit snuggly in the opening of the bone others that literally fall out and even some that have been too long. But since my dog still enjoys them I still buy them .....for now

good idea that doesn't work!
Bought for a dog that won't chew normal nylabones, I thought with the treat sticks inserted it would encourage him. I bought this and two packs of refill treats, only to find that the treats just fall straight out of the bone, there is no way to secure them in the bone. Total waste of money for what it was bought for. Very disappointed.

Sticks pop out easily.
I thought this would be good to keep my dog busy. She loves to chew and be entertained. She gets the replacement sticks out in 5 seconds. Darn!
