Not for the beginner. It takes some experience to use this one. It will work with different types of filament, and uses different nozzles. Cleaning & troubleshooting are easy, but can be tricky. It all takes some getting used to (nozzles must be removed & changed while the pen is hot). With some practice, this is as good as a real 3-D printer. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it.

I bought this for fixing models that have issues. and it worked great with the PETG I was using for one model. I do wish it was a bit thinner to fit into some tighter spaces, but this wasn't designed for what I am doing. Comes with tons of filament to get started for people drawing with these. I just used the filament I had on hand after practicing a bit with one of the lines of PLA it came with to get a hang of it.

This pen isn’t cheap but you don’t want a cheap one. I purchased 2 inexpensive 3D pens from a store and they broke within hours. With this kind of purchase you don’t want inexpensive. This pen is sturdy and so far, has done a great job.

The main thing that I like about this is how it's able to handle tpu filament well. With that in mind, any other filament should be a walk in the park.

Not worth the expense, mine worked for about an hour and a half, and unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to use it until it was out of warranty. When it heats up, the reason does not pour out like it should. A huge disappointment for me so now it sits on the top of the shelf and I think of $300 lost every time I look at it. I tried getting out of manufacture. We’ll see if we could work something out no go.
