This was so much easier and less clean up than getting out my old food processor and round blade to cut cabbage. And my standing mandolin just mushed the cabbase but this baby shredded it like a breeze on setting 2 and 3. I used both the food pusher and a safety glove. Watch out for the blade. It is very sharp. I just rinsed it under the faucet and any stuck pieces I removed with the brush from my other mandoline. Very very nice and a time and stress saver. I wash and dry it before I store it in a 2.5 gallon Zip Lock bag folded over to protect me from the blade.

Used daily and always performs well. Recommended.

I liked the product for its ease of use. It would have been helpful if basic instructions were included in the packaging, but I found the product on the website. Not as wide as I would have liked, however, the safety pad will allow me to slice vegetables with ease. Good product.

Looked far and wide for an instrument to make 1/4" cut french fries. All the options I saw were industrial potato presses that cost a hundo or more, and most mandoline slicers don't have any significant degree of adjustability. This one is highly adjustable, solid construction, and offers a great value for the price. It's able to quickly and easily slice through potatoes to make perfectly cut fries that are maybe 1mm thinner than McDonalds fries and turned out incredibly delicious.Pro tip: always wear a cut-resistant protective glove on the hand you're slicing with - mandoline slicers are extremely hazardous and these blades are so sharp it would easily slice a chunk of your hand or fingers off.

The food holder does not securely hold vegetables and breaks easily.The blade is very sharp but kind of useless without a proper food holder.

I received my mandolin just in time for a Dominos party with my friends. I had seen a beautiful fruit platter in a food magazine with exotic fruits sliced and arranged on a platter. It was so colorful and the "dragon fruit and star fruits" were impressive. Not your ordinary fruit platter! Slicing was a piece of cake and I appreciate the safety features because the blade is really sharp. My gentleman friend, who is an engineer looked at it and was also impressed at the quality. Saved me lots of time and trouble in trying to make these fruits and others look professionally cut. I noticed that this seller also has a book called "Mind to Mouth" which I also bought. Both items are a Segway to each other.

Everything about the shipment was good. The slicer works very well. I bought one for me and one for other family. The only thing not best about this is the safety. There is no way to cover the blade when not in use. Just be careful. It is sharp, but that is why it works so well. I evenly and thinly sliced 3 apples for dehydrating with so little effort!

I have used many mandolins over the years including commercial finger choppers. I gringe every time a see one in use on a cooking show. This is by far the safest I've ever had. It is simple to use and clean. The results are amazing. Highly recommend.
