OM SYSTEM Olympus TP-8 Telephone Pick-up Microphone

The only game in town for an in-ear mic. It also happens to be well tuned to pick up both the in-ear voice and the user's voice without sounding muddy. Does not work well for any other purpose--but a classically well designed single purpose device. I have bought and used 8 or 10 of them over the years and never had one break. I do tend to lose them, though, which is easy. It does not come with a carrying case so you might want to grab one to make sure it doesn't disappear by osmosis--at least if you're like me and easily misplace (especially small) things.

Comfortable fit, crystal clear audio, and long cord make this microphone work well with any digital recorder! Great product!

Sometimes when you deal with shady people, you will want to record conversations and meetings. I connect this to my external recorder or even a cell phone and it reduces external and white noise. If you are recording a phone call or a virtual meeting and the apps and features are disabled, you can get a very high end quality recording by using this microphone and over the ear headphones (any headphones that will cover the microphone). However, this is a microphone and not an earphone. You cannot use it to listen to the recording. You can only hear the sound pass through it during the conversation but you cannot hear it connected through the audio cable.

It replaced the original one that got to much wear on it.

Doesn't work out of the box. I tried it on two different devices and, while they recognize that a microphone has been plugged in, no sound is recorded when I tried to use it. Sending it back.
