Update* a month later. This product kills it. I have managed to rid my shed of rats and medium size mice. I don’t know what changed but I been feeding the hawks a nice rat and mice meal. Upgraded to 4 starts from 3. Not sure if forcing it to shock or if maybe the rodents are covered in more moisture than previous months. I do like the audible sound and visual flashing light letting me know that a shock was administered and every time I find a dead rodent. To get 5 stars the bottom of the base would needTo be covered to prevent myself or othersFrom picking it up and not getting a zap. The metal plates are someone exposed on bottom.Original post- Quick shipping as always. I can’t give 5 stars as either the rats or mice aren’t making the connection to kill them or it’s not strong enough and they get out. I have lots of rat and mice droppings and the tray is loaded with peanut butter and sunflower seeds and they have been eating from it, but no dead rats or mice. I tested it with a wire to see if it works. After I connect both pads with a wire about 2-3 seconds later it throws a spark about an inch away. And it shocks again 2 more times. After it has finished the extension led light flashes and a audible beep can be heard. So I guess more time is needed. * The metal pads are slightly exposed on the bottom so if this is active and plugged in you can get shocked* use caution when handling the bottom.

The Electric mouse/rodent trap was easy to set up and very easy to use. The light and alarm are very useful and it is easy to clean. It really did the trick and I would highly recommend this product.

Success finally. It took a few months, ( I don't have a big rodent problem), but I was successful in terminating the life a large fat rat. It didn't even make it to the food tray. The unit seems well built and should last some time. I had concerns about the red blinking light on top - every 5-6 seconds - but it did not deter the rat from entering. Waiting to see how it does with a small mouse.

Defective out of the box. Tried to contact customer service via email. Responses consisted of stupid automated questions asking me to repeat what was already stated in the original email.

Within 3 hours I caught a small mouse. Later that night caught another one. Item works as advertised and I have not seen any mice since. Would highly recommend.

Strategic placement of device is critical as well as eliminating any sense of human smell. Also helps if there is no other food in the vicinity for the critters to attack and compete with whatever you use as bait.
