Amazon Grocery, Navy Beans, 16 Oz (Previously Amazon Fresh, Packaging May Vary)

I pressure cooked 1 cup of these Amazon Grocery Navy Beans with 4–5 cups of water, chicken bouillon, and a bay leaf for meal prep. They cooked evenly in a reasonable amount of time and developed a soft, creamy texture while remaining durable enough to hold their shape. The beans were consistently sized, and I didn’t have a problem with them turning into mush. I’m combining them with pinto beans to make creamy white chicken chili while I restock our farmstand. I’ll add cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, tomatoes with green chilies, drained corn, spices, chicken-tomato bouillon, and chicken bouillon, then serve it with cornbread or homemade bread bowls. The navy beans were already so flavorful that my husband and I snacked on some before refrigerating them for the chili. The 16-ounce bag is a practical size and a good value because dried beans expand considerably when cooked. They are also an economical source of fiber and make a filling addition to soups, chili, and other meal-prep recipes. Most helpful tip: Save some of the flavorful bean broth instead of draining it all. Adding a little to your soup or chili gives the broth extra flavor and helps create a naturally creamy consistency.

Super value. We watch homesteaders canterbury trails farm for bean tips. These will last for over a decade if stored properly. Most will sprout for planting. Stock up on these now. Great source of protein for very little money.

This was my first time purchasing and I was impressed with how clean the beans came when I when threw them. I will be purchasing more. They were a yummy.
