Review: 必携参考書の第3版だが、新しい内容はない - GRE受験生には必携の参考書です。テストを実施している当のETSが出しているだけあって、実際のテストに最も近い形式の学習ができます。例えばManhattan Prepなども分厚い参考書を出していますが、あまりGREには出ない性質の数学の問題や、プロの講師が書いたエッセイなど、あまり実践的ではありません。その点こちらは実際に出る類の問題しか出ませんし、エッセイも実際の受験者のエッセイが獲得スコア別に紹介されているなど、直接参考になる内容が多いです。個人的な経験から言っても、この一冊をやり込めば点数は間違いなく上がります。 ただし、こちら第3版となっていますが第2版から何がアップデートされているのか分かりません。各セクションの練習問題も2つのモックテストも同じ内容です。しかも前版にはフルサイズのモックテスト2つを提供するPowerprep IIのCDロムが付属していたのに対し、今版にはそれが無いのです。まさかテスト受検登録者全員に無料で提供されるオンラインのテスト2つを含めて"real practice tests"と言っているのでしょうか。それではこの本に金を出す意味がありません。もし前版をすでに持っていて追加の練習問題がほしいという方は他を当たりましょう。 Review: Ordered new but came worn out - The book didn’t come like it was supposed to- instead of new pristine one, came a book that looks like it won’t line up on a bookstore.
