Great KVM switch for dual-computer setup | Easy to Use | Good Design | Reliable
The UGREEN DisplayPort KVM Switch works exactly as advertised and has been a great addition to my setup. I’m using it with a desktop and a laptop, sharing multiple DisplayPort monitors along with one keyboard and mouse. Switching between the two computers is very fast—almost instant. With a simple button press, everything (monitors, keyboard, and mouse) moves from one system to the other without any noticeable delay. This makes it really convenient for daily use. The build quality feels solid and durable. The casing is sturdy, and the ports on the back are spaced well, so plugging in cables is easy and not cramped. There’s also enough room to manage cables neatly with ties or straps. Setup was straightforward. The included instructions are clear and easy to follow. It comes with a power adapter (with a good cable length) and two USB-A cables, so you have everything you need to get started. I’ve tested it with both Windows and Linux systems, and it has worked without any compatibility issues so far. Another plus is the compact size—it doesn’t take up much desk space, which is always a bonus. I chose this product because UGREEN has a strong reputation, and based on my experience so far, it lives up to it. Keep in mind this review is based on less than 30 days of use (as of April 2026), but I’m very happy with the performance so far. Pros: Fast, seamless switching Solid build quality Easy setup Good port spacing for cable management Works with Windows and Linux Cons: None so far (based on short-term use)

Convenient tool to switch between work Macbook and Gaming PC
I work from my home desk often so I've been looking for a clean way to switch between "work mode" and "personal/game mode". I have 2x 144hz monitors (1080p/1440p) that I feed from either my MacBook Pro USB dock or my gaming PC tower. For the Macbook, I'm currently running a TobenOne Displaylink docking station with Display port cables running from the dock to this KVM. For the PC, it's just Display Port directly from the GPU to the KVM. I have NOT plugged in the provided power cable for the KVM as I have not notice a difference in functionality with it attached vs unplugged. It's possible it may only be needed if your USBs from the PCs do not provide enough power for the dock. I have all of my peripherals plugged into USB hubs that attach to the front USBs of this KVM so it all switches together. (Mouse, Keyboard, Sound Card, etc). I followed other reviewer's advice and only used Display Port to Display Port from the KVM to the monitors. I did test using USB-C to DisplayPort from the PC to KVM and that did work successfully. Only issue I had during setup was that for some reason, I has to swap the inputs into the KVM to get one of the computers working. I think this might have been user error, but just wanted to note it in case anyone else gets stuck. Once it's setup, I have had no issues switching back and forth between the two computers. It takes about 3 seconds for both monitors and all peripherals to switch over and be ready to go. I've tucked away the KVM and all of the cables under my desk and use the external switching remote to switch and it's nice to not have a mess of cables. I would recommend!

Could Be Great But Not Sure of Its Purpose Now
I've worked with Enterprise KVM's as well as some Commercial and I thought this KVM was about to be the holy grail for gamers and teleworkers! It is able to do the max resolution, refresh rate, Gsync, and HDR of my gaming computer (5120x2160p@165Hz, 10-bit HDR) and still switch my devices to my other host PC for work. Unfortunately this doesn't last long because after a few switches between hosts, the screens will remain black and cannot be fixed until the host devices are hard restarted. Sadly, I didn't notice this the first few days I had it because I only swapped between the devices once or twice in that time period, resulting in me not even noticing the issue until after my trash had gone out. This is due to the lack of EDID emulation as mentioned in the product listing, which I didn't understand until now. Enterprise KVM's typically have this already so they have no issue with switching between host devices. The only experience I've had with EDID is for headless situations. The product listing fails to actually explain what this means and while it falls on the customer to understand this, I'd say a good 90% of customers won't, so here's your warning! With all of that said, what exactly does this device accomplish and who is the target audience? Without the EDID to switch between host PC's, this is just a KM switch as there is no video involved, at which point this is entirely overpriced for that function. It's also worth noting that I received the product as Open Box despite purchasing new; box seal was broken and cable packages were ripped open. Shame on you UGREEN! Pros: - Sleek looking - Small footprint - Full resolution, refresh rate, and HDR - Quick convergence after switching (rated at <7 seconds, I found it to be about 4) - Low Cost - Remote switch Cons: - No EDID Emulation, nor an explanation of this to the customer - Doesn't provide DisplayPort cables to the hosts but other models from UGREEN do

Not great
It works, but the DisplayPort module signal quality is poor and you won't be able to achieve high refresh rates with high resolution monitor setups.

Work laptop and gaming desktop sharing the same peripherals!
The right device was not easy to find. Finding a KVM switch that supports 4k 240hz is NOT easy. This was worth EVERY penny. It does NOT need to be plugged in via power to work, but it does supply more wattage to peripherals, such as an attached speaker. I have a Razer Leviathan. When the power is plugged in, I can run the leviathan at about 90% volume before it cuts out and shuts off. without it plugged in, it's about 75%. There is no perceivable lag in this product, and has basically been 'set it and forget it'. I have an alienware ACT1250 with 285k + 5080 attached to this, and an HP G5 dock hooked up to the second switch, which allows me to hook up my work laptop, my headless mac mini, and my Legion Go 2 as needed at the touch of a button.

Minor issues but works as needed
This has been working great for me so far. I use it to switch between my work computer and my home computer set up. I keep my laptop docking station plugged into and my desktop computer. It allows me to use the same mouse, keyboard, webcam, and of course monitors with both systems with ease, even my gaming laptops with macro keys. I tried two others first. One was a lot cheaper but was dead on arrival. I don’t know if it was Amazon quality control or what cause it was definitely a previously returned item. I wasn’t taking my chances and ordered a more expensive one. That one wouldn’t work with my gaming keyboard due to the software built into the switch. I had to return that one as well. This one from UGREEN has worked great so far though. Some of the issues: - It has limited ports. I had to purchase an additional powered USB hub just to use all my peripherals. - it doesn’t always recognize my monitors in the correct format when waking up my laptop. It’s an easy fix by just unplugging my docking station from the laptop and plugging it back in, it’s just annoying.

Perfect for high refresh high res displays
I've been using this thoroughly for many weeks now, and it is so consistent and powerful that the only issues I had setting it up were with me being dumb and buying one incorrect display cable. It was simple to get going and does exactly as described at the best market value I've seen. I am pumping a full 2K165 and 2K144 respectively through it without any issues. 2K144 of course being the maximum for the HDMI 2 output I unfortunately have to convert from as my PC ran out of DisplayPorts - but hey I can tell you that outputs great to this unit if you can find an active HDMI-to-DP cable! Its 'USB hub' also handles well in my system where I have previously had trouble with them overloading USB ports or simply being buggy. Overall, the connectivity is fantastic. I own other UGREEN products, and every one I've had has been very high quality for the price. Also, the included button control cable is helpful for me because I have used industrial tape to attach the unit itself under my desk, rather than have like 8 cables flailing about I can use one little button on top of my desk to change the current system.

Worked great for 4 months - then died
It worked great for about 4 months, then the keyboard and mouse connection started to get flaky, and a couple weeks later the monitor connection stopped working.

Compact, effective and very reliable
Great product overall. The compact form factor makes it easy to tuck away if you are looking for a clean desktop aesthetic, but it looks good enough to leave on display. Currently outputting to 2, 4K screens at 210 Hz with seamless switching and zero issues after 6 months of constant home office/gaming use. The product comes with all the cables you need for a standard setup, but I used a separate USB-C to DP cable (I went with another UGREEN product) to support a laptop as the second source. Despite the mismatched inputs, there have been no issues with performance or reliability. Strongly recommended for remote workers and gamers alike.

Bello e funzionale

Really strong KVM at this pricepoint
After 3 different iterations of 4k kvm over the past 3 years, i can safely say that this is the best product i've come across at this pricepoint. I was using another 4k @ 144 kvm until now which had constant issues (couldn't switch while computers were on, wouldn't support over 120 hz for my ultrawide, struggle with some usb devices when switching...) and buying this solved ALL my problems. Most of it works flawlessly, definitely a huge improvement at a cheaper pricepoint than my previous one, and i'm 100% happy about switching to this product. Setup: * Computer 1: Windows desktop (RTX 3080) * Computer 2: Macbook pro (m1 pro) * Screen 1: Huawei 34 mateview GT (ultrawide, 3440 x 1440 @ 165 hz) * Screen 2: LG 27GN850 (1440p @ 144hz) * Cables: My previous KVM cables for most, Cable Matters USB C Multiport Adapter DisplayPort 8K 60Hz for one of the macbook adapters to usb c, UGREEN USB C to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable 8K 60Hz for the other * USB devices: webcam, keyboard, wireless mouse (usb dongle), wireless headset (usb dongle), usb switch (one to four) On windows: Everything works perfect at max refresh rate, with freesync / gsync when required, HDR not tested On macbook: Huawei 34 inch at 165 hz works fine, LG screen need to be on 120 hz otherwise flickers, HDR not tested The only thing I missed is: * No feedback about which display is enabled from the remote control * No audio input / output, need to rely on external usb audio card or my screens audio outputs * No IR controls - i wanted to use IR to do automation with an IR sender but unfortunately not supported. Small issues I might have noticed but haven't directly tied to anything in the setup yet - those were minor and i'm unsure if any other products could fix it: * Not being able to do 144hz on my macbook for the lg screen (while the bigger screen would work on higher framerates?) * Sometimes screen goes black when opening some websites on windows only (I think ie: netflix) - happened maybe twice in a week and couldn't tie to a specific thing - it might be windows switching to hdr or something, i don't know * Had a small issue twice in a week - windows screen went to sleep / black after 5 min (as configured in windows) and one screen wouldn't come back? I'm not removing a star for this because this is so much of an improvement over my previous setup.
