I like this jig for making monkey's fist using paracord. It works great and is very sturdy. It can be used over and over again without any issues. Much faster and easier to make the monkey's fist when using this tool, compared to a less expensive wood jig. You won't be disappointed.

The machining of the mounting plate has been done very well.The holes on the plate are all in the sameposition in each row. It wouldbe more useful to have the holes staggered in alternating rows so there are more options for different sized balls.

This jig has made my monkey fist production increase by leaps and bounds. It makes it so much easier to do it's almost like cheating. Lol It helps you to make good and tight monkey fists for sure.

This device works perfect for me. Im very glad I choose to pay the extra few bucks. Down side: Fits 1" ball by spreading rods. Fits 3/4" precisely, need rubber band to keep ball from dropping to base. Cant see it working as expected with 5/8" ball.Edited : A 1" ball requires ~ 66" of 550 paracord, wrapped 5 times per direction, to cover. Add another 6" for slack when using a FID for final pass. This doesnt include left-overs. A 3/4" ball can use 66" if 425 paracord, also wrapped 5 times. Therell be some extra left over for a length of sliding Solomon knotted handle. Ive made dual 1" ball slammers with 15" leads covered with 4" sliding Solomon knot weave handles. Also 5 to 8 foot spread, 3 and 4 ball, bolos for game capturing. Great self defense and survival tools.The jig doesnt have the threaded hole spacing for likewise holding a 5/8" ball.

If you are looking to make some monkey fist attachments for your paracords, this is a fantastic jig to invest in.Very well built, sturdy, will last.
