Update - Resolved!! Worked for less than a year, display flickering and unable to program whatsoever
After leaving the disappointing review (which is below), Jody from Goodsmann reached out to me to arrange my returning of the device and shipped a new one which is working perfectly since installation. Jody was communicative, understanding and helpful after seeing that I was still close to the warranty period with the original device, and took it upon himself to call me and arrange the return & shipment of a new device. It's been a few weeks now, and the device is working as it should!Original review:I purchased this September 15th 2019, and it is almost exactly one year later now and the display phases in and out. It unresponsive when trying to change or program anything. There is no short on any of the external wiring and from seeing some of the other reviews, it seems that I am not the only one who has had this problem. It was easy to install and hook-up and worked great for the majority of the year, but I noticed my electricity had been outrageously increasing over the past few months and realized that the outdoor system was not shutting off at all. Even with the device plugged in and the display flickering, when turning the knob to the "off" position, it did/does not shut off whatsoever. It cannot be programed anymore as the display and buttons are not registering anything. I am very disappointed that I only got close to a year of this device working from the date of purchase. I will update this if anything changes.

Read this if CUSTOMER SERVICE is important to you!
At the root of just about every electronic purchase on line is the question of "if I have a problem, I wonder how well customer sevice will address my issue." Let me tell you this: I have now been absolutely blown away by the Goodsman customer service team. My first phone call to them made me feel like I was their most important customer and their goal was my satisfaction with their products.I purchased 2 120 watt power packs to address my landscaping lighting needs. I promptly received them and hooked up my lights. Instalation was a snap, directions and programming as easy. Great product! But, not long afterwards the photo sensor / timer stopped working on one unit. A quick call to Amazon and a replacement unit was here the next day. Not bad, no fuss, no issues and as I hoped it would be from Amazon customer service.Well, 8 months later the replacement Goodsman sent me stopped working. I dreaded calling their customer service number figuring I would have an issue getting satisfaction from them since this was a second replacement request.I was amazed at how well my call was received! Goodsman did the purchase verification and called me back the THE NEXT DAY! He arranged for return shipping and explained they would do diagnostics on the unit and let me know. Fair enough and understandable. In the same conversation I informed the Goodsman Customer rep of a slight issue on the other unit's door hinge. The first words out of the rep were "that's not what we want for our customers, send it back to us as well." What? Are you kidding? Not what I was asking Goodsman to do... but, ok! The rep told me it would be a few days once they received the units to evaluate and he would give me a call. Ok, I admit I was feeling pretty good at this point about how Goodsman's rep was treating me; but call me back in a few days? Come on who does that anymore? Real customer service is hard to find. You could have blown me over with a feather when Goodsman's rep called me this morning! I return mailed the units on a Tuesday and received Goodsman's call on the following Wednesday with a holiday Monday in between. Stunning customer service!I was informed BOTH units would replaced and would be in the mail today! The Goodsman rep made it very clear my satisfaction was his goal and part of their company culture. For me customer service is a big piece in my decision making process when I read reviews. Goodsman nailed it! I Highly recommend them because they stand behind their product and know how to deliver excellent customer service. The only thing I can say now is I wish I had bought my landscaping lights from them as well!

ONLY WORKS FOR 6 MONTHS
We have now purchased THREE of these units. Each one has worked wonderfully for a good six months. It then promptly breaks, and it's past the return deadline. I won't be purchasing anything else from this company. Why did I purchase the same one again? It is a decent price and easy to install.

Great product so far
I was nervous when choosing from the many options for a transformer. The 120W model was oversized for my use, but the smaller one had fewer options for setting the time. This product seems well constructed and is easy to install. I ran two 14 gauge wires connected to ten 2.3W deck lights and may extend in the future. With everything turned on the unit is drawing only ~30W @ 120V (think small incandescent bulb they used to install in refrigerators). The total run of wiring is only about 75 feet. The timer control is well thought out and offers various options. The best selection (for me) turns on the lights at dusk and then shuts off at a specified time. Customers who need the lights for security purposes may want to leave them on all night, but ours are decorative and it didn't make sense to have them running at 3am in the morning.I've found that the best way to significantly extend the lifespan of outdoor electrical devices (especially those that plug in) is to not put them outdoors. So I ran a new 15A circuit to a CGFI outlet in my garage where I mounted the transformer. I cut a hole in the drywall behind the unit (near the bottom) and threaded the low voltage wire behind the drywall and out to our courtyard about 4 inches above the ground. I then drilled a 3/8" hole and poked the sensor through the wall (second photo) and secured it with silicone sealer so it's almost invisible. To enhance the beauty of my garage (ha-ha) I masked the vents on the bottom of the unit and spray painted the outside of the box white. The one thing I wish they offered was a transformer with an internal GFI device so one could mount the transformer directly to a device box and lose the damn plug.If you do mount this outside, make sure it's plugged into a CGFI outlet that's covered by a water resistant box. The low-voltage lights and wiring are more forgiving, but the transformer itself is pulling over an amp of 120V power from your electrical system and shouldn't be installed like Clark Griswold in the movie Christmas Vacation. : - )

works well
Very heavy for a 75 year old man to install. No issues since installing. Timer has worked perfectly.
