My dash cam came with a 5v 1amp output adapter. This cable comes with a 5v 2amp output converter. Any opinions about this being a possible problem?

My dash cam has a 5v 1.5 amp output and uses this kit with no issue.

If it's made to be installed to the fuse box on the left then why doesn't the usb angle to the left instead of the right?

The mini-USB right angle connector matches the power cords that came with both types of my mirror dash cams. It angles the wire away from the rear camera AV input wire. I'm guessing that is the standard direction for dash cams. Also, the location of the fuse box is irrelevant. You will need to plug it into the fuse box wherever it is and run the long wire to where your dash cam is.

When the parking monitor is on, is the screen always on? If it does, it seems a waste of power. I'm hoping the screen turns off like a screensaver.

Parking only works for when you don't have constant power for most cameras. Make sure the fuse you pick isn't hot 24/7 or it just records in an infinite loop. I picked 24/7 and the cord never ever ever ever detects low voltage to turn the camera off. Screen should be off unless you chose on the camera for it to not time out after 1-3-5 mins. Only time I didn't have it time out on purpose was when I had a full truck and wanted a rear view mirror feature.

Is the mini usb right-angle or left-angle?
