Los Chileros New Mexico Hatch Green Chile, Powder, 5 Pound

Purchased Los Chileros New Mexico Hatch Green Chile twice from Amazon. Perfect consistently tasty flavor profile. I went to buy again and it's unavailable. FIX THIS AMAZON! I NEED MORE!!! lol I contacted Los Chileros and they'll only offer it on Amazon if Amazon requests it!

I vacuumed sealed this into canning jars and use it for making chorizo. Works great for that, and tamales. I found it to be warm, but my taste of "hot" is skewed - I enjoy raw jalapenos (not pickled!) and find fresh jalapenos to be a bit sweet in flavor. I've also used this powder in seasoning while cooking. Will purchase again.

I use this powder on so many dishes, and it tastes great. My only wish is that they would sell in a 16 oz. quantity, because I will be using these 5 pounds of chilies for years. The smaller size was too small though. I was ordering every week, so I finally went for broke, and now I am the Chile Queen who can feed a kingdom with chile.Great on grilled veggies (try artichokes), sandwiches, all veggie dishes, soups, salad dressings.... I haven't found a dish it doesn't compliment.

I am from New Mexico and need green chile, I put this in soups, and on things I roast and bbq, wish it was hotter, I try to keep stocked with the very hot green chile powder from the Fruit Basket in ABQ but I run out and don't make it back enough to get more, while it doesn't seem as flavorful it is very good, they need to make a size in between the small size and 5 pounds. I am sure I will use it all the same.

First off, I was excited to have green Chile powder from NM. I am from NM. Not what we expected, but it works.Little disappointed when the tracking showed it was shipped from NJ. We like our Chile hot, this was not as hot as we expected. It is lacking in the NM Chile flavor I am fond of.

Pretty darn good chili. If you like it spicier then just throw it a jalapeno in there. If you like it thicker I added some corn starch to cold water. The flavor is delicious! Saves me a lot of time cooking. No more roasting and blending my own green chili's

This came in a zip-sealed bag, much better than the image shown. The flavor is outstanding!

The Green Chile powder itself has a nice taste. I was very disappointed when I received the green chile to find out, via a sticker on the bag, it must be cooked at 165 degrees before consuming. I purchased it thinking I was going to be able to use it in guacamole, salsa, etc.. and I cannot. We are still enjoying it in our cooked food but I would not have purchased such a large bag if I knew that it had to be heated.
