Clearly Filtered 18oz Borosilicate Glass Water Bottle BPA Free

When I decided to buy a new water bottle I wanted the next one to be1) made of glass -- borosilicate (for high temperatures)2) have a large opening (to easily clean)3) not cost more than $154) leak proofThis bottle fulfills all my critera. The instructions that come with the bottle say it's not made for boiling water, but so far (after 1.5 months) I've found that if I rinse the bottle with warm to hot water before I pour my tea in (to lower the temperature difference) the bottle is fine.During the first two uses the bottle leaked, but that was because the silicone ring inside the lid wasn't in the right position. After popping it back in, I haven't had any problems with it. Some people might take issue with the fact that the inside of the bottle lid is made of hard plastic. To be honest, I've never seen a re-sealable bottle where that hasn't been the case and I don't know if that can be avoided. I personally don't mind, the taste of water from the glas water bottle is already noticably better so I'm very happy.There's no protection around the bottle, so it's important to be careful when handling. On the other hand, there's also no dirt that needs to be cleaned off from the silicone sleeve, so I guess one would need to decide for oneself what's more convenient.

I purchased bottles for me and my daughter to use with our Clearly Filtered pitcher, and we both agree there is no plastic bottle that holds a candle to these bottles. I purchased them to remind us to hydrate more frequently during the day. They are high quality and sturdy; however, while I carry mine to work with me, I would not send them to school because, well, they are glass. Stainless steel for that. Asthetically, they are sleek and pleasing to the eye. Easy to clean ( it is not recommended putting lids in the dishwasher) and maintains water temperature rather well barring extreme exposures. Cannot find anything negative to share, and I even believe the price is fair and totally worth it.

The silhouette is nice - clean and elegant! And the mouth is easily wide enough to accommodate ice cubes if you want.But those are the only selling points. The threads for the lid are weirdly short, so it fully screws/unscrews with 1/2 of a turn. This means that it's trivially easy for the lid to not be seated properly even though it feels secure to your (my) hand.I thought I could train myself to just test the lid each time I closed the bottle, but having to do that after *every* drink of water isn't a workable solution, particularly for a pricey bottle. I'm returning it.****Updating to add that the bottle will also be unsealed if the silicone gasket isn't laying flat - in these cases, the lid will look and feel tightly closed, but any water inside will leak out if the bottle isn't standing upright. (I just discovered this when I went to reach into my bag for a piece of gum and pulled out a handful of water, instead.)The bottle is heavy enough that returning it would cost ~$10 in shipping, so it's going to Goodwill with a note about its shortcomings. But I really don't understand why they designed this to be able to leak with such trivial ease.

Style matters to me, along with a wide opening. This is minimal, beautiful, good glass and certainly not light weight.It reminds me of Voss waters, an indulgent choice at sushi restaurants I love.No issues of leaking. It's glass and will certainly shatter if I drop it, so I will be quite aware of that.Best design I've come across. Holds the chill in refrigerated water placed on my desk for a long time.

Absolutely love this bottle. It has turned upside down several times in my Mary Poppin's bag, and it doesn't leak! Sleek and easy to hold with even my tiny hands, and such an aesthetic glass bottle it makes me want to fill it up and drink out of it all the time! I have been making Starbuck-style blended fruit and coconut drinks over ice in it lately 😁😁😁

Decent option if avoiding plastic water bottles. You'll need to buy a silicone boot for it.

What I love about this product is that it's only $9.99 and that it seems to be very strong. It's easy to hold and doesnt seem to leak. I'm very happy with it and as long as the price is the same i will continue to buy them. I would recommend this product.
