I use it 10- 15 minutes (maybe) at a time.

It doesn't tangle my less than a full head of hair

Q: Are the prongs on the bottoms of the massagers hard or soft?

It is soft silicone.and there are also four soft brushes as a replacement which you can use it to cleaning your face or body.
