This is the best little pump I have ever used. It works great and the install was very easy. This will work for a lot of aplications.

Very poor material of the body- the fittings on the ends both will crack when you snug up the fitting properly, and i used plastic fittings that did not crack- my guess is, the material was manufactured with too high of heat, making it brittle, or introducing fatique in the body.I made it work for now by coating it with pvc glue to keep the leaks at bay.

The casing is somewhat more fragile than expected. While simply screwing in an adapter to the female end, it broke off in my hands. Also, it definitely could not be described as self-priming. All of the times I was able to get it to pump I had to take the effluent end off in order to bleed off the air. Once it was primed, however, it was extremely powerful for its size and the fact that it's powered by only 12 vdc.

Great pump. A lot of power. However, they are not recommended for use out of water. These pumps are not leak proof. My use was for computer cooling and I received two pumps which both had leaks in different locations. The leaks were minor but I'm not one to refill my reservoir weekly. I like completely leak proof builds. Perhaps I just received two lemons. I might attempt a third pump because the actual pump is stellar. Oh and also the noise level is superb, I can hardly hear it over my fans.

I've been using this pump in a garden fountain I built. For the last 3 weeks it's been running non stop. It does a fine job of pushing water 30" up a 5/8" tube to a small fountain head. The fact that is is low voltage is what initially sold me. My garden is over 100' away from the nearest outlet. So instead of having to dig a deep trench and run conduit w. 14 gauge 120v wire, I just dug and 3" deep trench and ran 16 gauge low voltage wire. I will update if there are any problems.
