Quick to install - easy to use - makes the world a safer place!
This truly is a wonderful product. I needed to convert a cabinet door into a rapid entry handgun cabinet for when grandkids are over. With this, I don't have to keep my weapon locked in a safe whenever the grandkids stay overnight. It works flawlessly and provides instant access to a weapon so we won't need to worry about home intruders during the night, and also don't have to worry about a grandkid coming into the room in the middle of the night and finding an unlocked weapon. As anyone who is well trained and takes home protection seriously will tell you, someone trying to fiddle with a key or combination DURING an attack, especially in the dark, has already lost. With the RFID provided wristband, just moving my wrist over the lock pops open the cabinet door for immediate access to the means needed to protect my family for those critical few minutes until the police get there if we are ever in harms way from a home invader at night.

SANITY SAVER!!!!QUICK ACCESS TO THE THINGS YOU NEED TO LOCK UP. LOOK HERE. I MADE INSTRUCTIONS
I have been using this for a year now. It is AWESOME. We have to lock all the food up in our house so my son doesn't eat it all. Hasps and chains and locks take too long to manipulate and are too hard to remember to put back on. The directions are pretty darn poor. It literally took me HOURS to figure it out. I installed another on another cabinet and it went much more quickly that time. Essentially you have to drill one largish hole and 2 small holes for screws. You have to have something for it to catch on and you have to have a slide bolt to secure the opposite door to. This and combination door knobs have improved my quality of life greatly. Update: Died at about a year and a half. Still worth it in my opinion. We used this thing multiple times a day every day. For the price it can't be beat. I'll post something on installation when I replace this one. HERE ARE MY DETAILED TRANSLATION OF THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Works great. Love the anti-peep.
So I just got the cabinet lock installed and after some modifications to the installation instructions (I have a cabinet with two doors) it works great. For those with a single door cabinet the instructions and measuring dimensions are spot on. You do need to be able to read a diagram though. Using the lock was easy and reprogramming he code was just as described in the instructions. So all and all I'm pretty happy with it. Except for the fact that the card and fob won't unlock it. Supposedly the first card or fob swiped is supposed to be the master key, but neither are working. Which in reality is fine, since I really have no intention of using them. Remembering a code is simple enough. Not to mention he cool anti-peep programming which allows you to enter up to 200 numbers, and it will still unlock as long as somewhere along the way you enter the correct code. For instance if your code is 1234, 5631234782 will still open the lock. Worked great against my "spy kid" 8 year olds.

Does what it should - 4th time is a charm
Updated 2/24/2022 I have a love-hate relationship with this thing. The first one failed. Not really sure why, but the latch just stayed unlocked one day, and that was the end of it. I tried customer service, which gave a response a few days later to reset it. That did nothing. Clearly something mechanical failed. I ordered a replacement.. Set it up on my desk before installing, and low and behold the latch got stuck again. It's mechanical and looks like there was a bad batch. Like an idiot, I returned it and requested now a third. It worked!!!! So I installed it, and it still works. I certainly have trust issues as it took 4 to get one that worked, but it is a really nice-looking device and does what it should - at least while it's working. I"ll see how long this one lasts. I'm 3 weeks in now. My theory is that the back lock mechanism is made of plastic. Including the gears. So it's not the most secure device but certainly operates as a decent deterrent. Anyway, I think there were plastic burrs in the gears of a batch of these which caused the latch to - well permanently latch. I could almost hear it happen to #3. Incidentally, I spent some more time with the baffling manual on this third one and got the keycards to work. My recommendation for anyone getting this, is don't just go and install it. Open the box, connect everything on a desk and program it there BEFORE installing it. Learning how it works and the programming is much easier sitting down. --------- Original Review: Great price for what it does. Best put with positives and negatives: Positives: - Price for sure, and generally the components feel sturdy (except the questionable plastic gears) - It has a pretty stunning level of functionality at this price - Has a way to power its-self if the batteries go dead. (Good feature) Negative: - Though the manual was clearly proofed by a native English speaker, the measurements and installation are not trivial. Seriously read everything first and understand the dimensional requirements to install it. - I ordered one and returned it because the faceplate where the numbers are looked all scratched up and used on the first one. Well, the second one was the same. Leading me to believe this is sort of the way it is for the price. It's not horrible, but it seems all of these look .. Used... - Everything is in metric. Fine. I get that, but OMG. you have to be careful on installing. - The thing is packed with features, which are truly baffling to set up. I'm set up as a single code, which works fine, but getting involved in card access and such, I honestly failed. Seriously baffling to do. But met my needs.

Works well
This product does an excellent job. The only tricky part is the installation. The directions are basically not there, they are so minimal. Programming a new admin code took some thinking about since the instructions are not clear but are correct. Other than installation, I think it is a great product for the money. The extra part in the box, is an external power source you can plug in, if the batteries in the lock die.

Worked perfectly
This worked perfectly for what I needed. I made a wood safe for my son's birthday and I used this lock for it. Very easy to install though I installed the key pad and lock individually with some extra machine screws from home depot. It came with 2 security cards, 2 key fobs, a USB cable to power the unit in the event of battery failures, screws for mounting, and instructions.

If you don't give this five stars send it back and buy it again!
My first one was defective so I sent it back and tried again. It's a unique item in its product space so if you get a bad one suck it up and send it back and try again. I am so very impressed with this item. You CAN turn off the sound. BUT you can't turn it back on. So you gain discretion but lose notification that it's low on battery or that you punched in the wrong code. For me, not opening is the all the notification I need that the code was wrong and my math says it will last about 14 months on Amazon brand AA batteries so set a calendar reminder to change them every 6 months and put the old ones in a kids toy or xbox remote and you are good. Wait until you see my video for how I'm going to use this item. I'll post a video of that later. My current video shows how to turn the sound off. I COULD have tried removing some of the copper wire to make it quieter so only the operator is in earshot of the sound but I didn't think of that you may want to try it. Just a note doing this is EASY but voids your warranty and if you break it trying you shouldn't send it back just buy another be fair with sellers!
