I was disappointed when I received the clock and the instructions were not in English. The clock required three AA batteries Since I could not read the instructions. It left me no choice but to call Amazon helpline they had no instructions for the dud Vivid large cockroach Clock. While the helpline was looking for instructions for other cloks to see if they could help me get my clock to start working properly,I was actually figuring out how to get the clock to work myself. When I bought the clock The sales ad did inform me the chime has an automatic shut off but did not say there was a light sensor that turned on and off the chimes. When the light from the singles dark and the light is shut off in the room the chime will shut off. But do not leave the light on in the room on for a extended time or the clock will chime and it is loud.. If you have aneighbor who likes to sleep late in the morning make sure your room is dark. There is no volume control for the chime. With all that being said, I do enjoy my clock. But it would be nice if the instructions were in English and the helpline had instructions for this clock.

The clock stopped working all together no sounds nothing.😭 I was told it would cost $150/$200 to fix it...

The coo koo sound is an obvious recording. Would have preferred the traditional one. Would be nice to have a silence switch.Well made, keeps good time looks nice.

This clock is beautiful, assembly was easy two C batteries and one A battery. I had three pine cones staring at me and I finally figured it out they go on hooks on the under side of the clock!I gave it a 4 star because of the automatic shut off, but all and all I love this clock.
