My dashcam and the GPS part of the dashcam both require a power source. I have one USB cable run from the car's aux power and I installed this USB Y-cable to power both units. It works well and haven't had any problems with it. I curled it up and used a couple of zip ties to secure it in place. Done! What's next on the list....

I installed two dash cams, one facing out and the other facing into the car for full protection when driving or parking.

Bought for video camera that has these connections for power of the camera as well as for the mic. It worked out better than having one wire per.

Works as advertised and splits the signal like they said it would.

The connectors are not standard dimensions. Pushing the cable into one of my expensive camera audio input cables broke the tab off my expensive cable. Don’t buy

I only have one auxiliary outlet in my car but needed to charge my GPS and dash cam at the same time. I used the plug that came with my GPS and plugged this at the end. Both devices work now with no issues. This is a great accessory if you’re in the same situation. I recommend!
