My dog is named Biscuit, but we call him, the Flying Biscuit. As soon as the door would open, he would fly out, and it would take me forever to get him to come home. I once found him close to the main road. A neighbor was trying to corral him. I called and called, but he would not come. The neighbor said, "I've never seen a dog not come when his owner called." That did it. I did not want a shock collar, or an electric fence. I had heard of an electric whistle and decided to give it a try. The first time he escaped after I purchased the Hoont, I pressed the button once (for a max of a second). He looked at me and came right to me. The second time I used it was when he saw another dog and began to bark. He stopped immediately. After three or so more attempts to run were thwarted by the whistle, he has not run since. He pauses at the door and waits for me to go with him. He may whine when he sees another dog, but no more barking. We walk daily. I took him to the park and took him off leash. He ran but ever more than fifty feet ahead of me. I would call him and he came right to me. I said it was a Christmas Miracle as I put it in his Christmas stocking. I am so happy I purchased this. He is now, the perfect dog.

The day this arrived we used it to keep our 2 young dogs from jumping on guests. It worked beautifully the first time we used it. After that, it had no impact on them at all - they ignore it. We noticed that when we plugged it in to charge, the red light was steady, but then went out. There has been no blinking light at all, and now the red light doesn't come on at all when we plug it in. The light and noise work when pressed - but we have no idea if the high-pitched sound is working at all. Sad to have spent the money on this, as it hasn't solved anything for us.

I have three dogs, (10yr, 5yr,and a 3yr old) with the addition of our last one 3yr ago the barking has gotten so bad. We live in the country and I do want them to bark, I just want them to stop when I say quiet. I have tried every gadget, training and trick In the book. No dice. NOTHING worked. I resorted to bark collars, but they are smart, if the collars weren't on they barked continuously. They also had started some bad barking behavior and nipping at each other the mnute I said "lets go outside." It became out of control to be honest, cause 6 months ago I gave up. This device worked. I have not let them see it ( cause it fits in your pocket) so they don't attribute the noise to the device which happened to everything else. They attribute it to my saying : "OK Quiet " and then positive reinforcement. The 2 younger ones -within 5 days they stop barking when I say" Ok quiet." Now the stubborn 10 year old ( whom I love very much) its taken almost 14 days but Its working! They are super smart with all their other commands but I had endorsed this bad behavior and let it get out of control. Soon I will not have to use it at all once my oldest does it consistently without it! Thank u so much for making this device ! Marjorie

We have an older chihuahua who's fiercely protective of my wife, who of course has it sleeping in our bed. Every time I even approach the bed, the dog treats me like "stranger-danger" and goes all rabid on me. Nothing has worked in the past (been going on for yrs...literally dozens of different ways to not get bit, besides the obvious which wasn't an option). One of most effective was squirting water with spray bottle, but then there's water all over the place (but was most effective of all so far). My wife finally suggested getting an ultrasonic device after doing research online. This Hoont product was fairly cheap but with very good reviews. The damn dog will still go after me when I approach the bed, but so far it seems very effective: the first ultrasonic burst gives her pause, like "What was that??" but still snarls. After repeated bursts, she finally decides it's not worth going after me and then burrows under the covers. I just have to remember to replace the Hoont on the hall table outside the bedroom before bedtime. and my wife seems happy with this #HappyWifeHappyLife.

We have an exuberant Red Heeler who needs lots of exercise. There is a larger field where I take her walking off leash and she gets to run around covering a lot more ground than I would. The problem is when she sees other people or dogs she wants to go play with them. The possible danger for her and nuisance for them have meant that I would only take her to this location when other dogs were not present. When she would see other dogs (even 50 to 100 yards away) she would take off and become deaf to my commands. Tried training collars (3 different ones) but they did not work for her. This thing, however, is like magic. As soon as she starts to head in the direction of other dogs, I tap the middle button and she turns right around. She is now less inclined to go visit other dogs or people even without any tapping (sometimes I just hold it where she can see it). Works way better than the training collar and it's $180 cheaper.Update: Unfortunately, the miracle wore off. My dog no longer responds very much when I use this.

Works to get the dogs attention but will not work as a repellant. Can be used to train though by grabbing my dogs attention.

I like the flashlight. Inside the house the louder noise works fine. But my dogs keep barking. The dog repellent does not work at all. I tried it several times, nothing, my dogs can care less about this and keep barking, other dogs outside keep barking. Do not buy this.

Did not perform at all. I used it during our visit to India where we were told that there were lot of stray dogs on streets. That was true. We encountered a few near our BNB accommodation who would Roam near front door. Each time they would growl as we were new people in that location. Tried so many times to use this equipment that hardly had any effect. At most they turned around n glare. Not a good purchase. Got misled with the application list by seller.

Unit actually worked great for the first 8 months, 5 stars. However, when it quit working, the frustration began. Original manufacturer was going to cover the product but since they were in the U.S.A. and I ordered it from a Canadian storefront, they needed me to contact the Canadian seller (duty and brokerage would cost more than the item bla bla). The original storefront would not answer my requests, so I finally contacted Amazon customer service. They also had no luck with contacting the original storefront. Now the unit (this has been 2 months) is out of warranty. "Pleasant Life Store" anything but pleasant.
