What is the actual brand of shirt that the design is printed on? I'm kinda picky because some shirt brands really suck.

They branded the label as Powell, so there is no telling. It's a thick cotton shirt, like you'd expect. The neck is a little wide for my taste, but I'm extremely weird about my t-shirt necks. Overall a pretty good shirt.

Is this shirt super soft & true to size?

True to size, but not super soft cotton

So are these authentic Powell Peralta shirts or Cheap illegal ripoffs like some reviews say?

I think it’s legit. It was a good quality shirt, definitely no a cheap ripoff

will a small fit a child that is 8 years old?

I think it would be a little big but not to much, I would buy it anyway. He will grow into it.
