I chose this as a gift for our son, who is an officer in the USMC. He often plans fun small unit activities for people under his command and I think they might really enjoy this. I ordered a second one too, for his daughter, who is totally a daddy's girl and will, I think, like having a football just like Dad's to play with with her friends. She is a huge Buffalo Bills fan (just like dad ☺️) but I don't think she will care that it isn't a "Bills ball" - it lights up! You can play catch with it at night! ☺️They will get them next spring for his Marine Corps EGA anniversary, and her birthday, respectively.I inflated and charged the two balls, just to make sure they work and there are no leaks. All is good!The little hand pump works great. It only took 50 pumps to inflate the ball to a good throwing volume. I appreciate the design, which allows storing of the inflation needle right IN the pump, so it won’t get lost! Also, there are instructions for changing the batteries in the ball when they can no longer be recharged. I have to say, I DO wish the print was a bit larger (see the pic with dollar bill). But taking a picture and looking at it on the phone does work for elderly eyes - and I've done that with a LOT of things lately so it's becoming a natural go-to for me.I didn't try changing the batteries, but good to know it's possible.The ball comes deflated in a small box that's about 3.5 x 5 x 11 inches. The pump came with needle, instruction sheet (and one came with a carrying bag which can be slung over shoulders like a knapsack). Everything comes nestled in the hollow of the deflated ball.After charging it up, the lights on these would go off after it was full, but come on every time they are moved or caught or tapped.The only real difficulty I had was getting the cover to the charging port in the ball securely in place after charging. Maybe charging first, then inflating is a better way to go?Anyway, for the fun I think these are going to provide, Im giving it 5 stars. I'd take a star off for the teeny print, but I'm old(ish)! 😅

Sometimes I'll throw the football around with the kids only to have it cut short when it gets too dark. This is a really great option to have to keep the fun going. To be honest we haven't used it too much because it's the summer and it takes a while for it to get dark, but I'm sure we'll be using it a lot more in the fall when it's football season.The sizing is right in between a full-sized football and the smaller, softer youth footballs we have. If your kid is used to smaller footballs, they may find this one more difficult to throw. The material is a thinner rubber that you might find on a playground ball. So far no issues with durability. Didn't need the air pump as we have several at this point, but it's nice it's included.

I want to start this by saying if I could leave more than 5 stars I definitely would! My 6 year old son loves football and recently started playing so when I saw this I had to get it. He absolutely loves how it lights up so we can practice day or night and it’s easy for him to throw and catch. The charging cover can be tough to close once charging is complete, but it’s doable and stays nicely once closed. It charges with a regular USBC charger and doesn’t take too long to charge and stays charged a surprisingly long time. For $29.69 at the time of this review I feel it’s a great deal and I would highly recommend it!

This ball is so bright and so fun to play with at night. I wish the instructions explained that it turns off by itself after a few minutes of no one touching it. As soon as I pulled out the battery tab, I was fumbling around trying to figure out how to turn it off. The instructions had no info, but I finally noticed it said “auto-shutoff” on the box. The charge lasts a nice long time, but I deducted one star because the charge port cover tab is really hard to get back in place. Overall, seems well-made and durable, with decent battery life.

The media could not be loaded. I saw this item come available and I had to get it as soon as I saw it, as I'm always on the lookout for toys and such to play with, with my girls and as a family. As a former football player I had to get it right away and I am very happy that I did. The ball is a good youth size with good grip and the illumination aspect is just awesome. Being able to play catch at Twilight and evening adds to the fun. The ball is very visible at night and the light turns on and off automatically with motion. It comes with its own pump and USB-c cord to charge, so you can play with it right out of the box as it does come charged. The USB C Port seems to be well sealed so you can play in inclement weather as well. I can't comment on battery life as of yet, but I haven't charged it yet and it's still going, so so far so good!Currently at around 30 bucks I feel it's a fantastic deal as you can pay that much for a basic youth ball sometimes without the illumination feature.

I got this LED light-up football for my grandsons. But it arrived professionally packaged and looks very well made and durable.I love that it’s waterproof, so they can even play out in the rain. It’s also rechargeable with an impressive battery life of up to 240 hours, and it has an auto shut-off feature—which is really nice and something you don’t always see in other models.Everything you need is included, even a small pump to inflate it. It looks like it’s going to be a blast, especially for night games!

This junior sized football is so much fun, and would make a great gift for an athletic kid aged 5 to 12. It took about thirty seconds to pump up the ball, it was charged enough on arrival to throw it around for about five minutes before it died. It took about an hour to charge fully. There is no on off switch the light turns on when it detects movement.
