Borderlands Volume 1 Origins Paperback – June 4, 2013

I love it. The art looks so Awesome! My boyfriend and I are vault hunting fanatics! Excellent piece of artwork, worth the buy. Pretty good read. Kinda short but it was still great.

I love borderlands and everything to do with it. This comic is awesome regardless of the short backgrounds on all four characters; brick, Roland, mordecai and lillith share how they got on Marcus' bus and what they 're background looks like. Highly recommend if it a fan of the borderlands franchise.

I loved the peek into the past that this comic provides. It contains all four stories, so no need to make seperate purchases, unless you are interested in the different cover art. I'm not really a collector, so I was fine with this purchase alone.The stories were shorter than I would have liked and a few of them weren't very informative, but the art style coupled with the recognizable faces from Borderlands almost makes up for it. All in all, the four stories left me wanting more, which I'm sure was the point of the stories.A good buy for anyone who loved the Borderlands game and wants a little glimpse into the past of the main four character's lives. The art is complimentary to the style of the games, but it wasn't my favorite style I've seen.

Okay... so I LOVE Borderlands. Like, a lot. But this was just disappointing. This is a quick collection of the origin stories for the four main protagonists of the original Borderlands: Roland, Lilith, Mordecai, and Brick. My problem with this is its stupidly fast pacing, usually just having things happen, and then "It's over!" Mordecai's was the only one that fully convinced me didn't need more, while Lilith's was just "Hi, I'm Lilith... Backstory... on a bus now." without anything really happening. On the other hand, I felt Roland and Brick needed at least another chapter to properly wrap up their parts.Art is good, but things move by so quickly, and the humor that Borderlands is so well known for is barely present, with maybe two chuckle-worthy moments in the entire book, that I can't really recommend this to anyone OTHER than a hardcore Borderlands fan.

It's more Borderlands, it's more awesome. Really dig the new back story behind everyone. After playing both Borderlands games, it really speaks to all the characters and monsters, and makes it feel like more of the game.

Fanboyism is dangerous so I bought ir and even if this expands the stoey it doesn't expand very much on certain characters (Lilith) but is good for the fan

I never expected to get sucked into Borderlands the way I did. But I just finished the first game and as a fan of Mikey's other works, had no qualms about picking up Borderlands: Origins. It's a great intro to the original Vault Hunters and how they ended up together on the bus. Highly recommended!

Shows short stories of each Vault Hunter up to the point where they get on the bus in borderlands. A must have for the fan who has everything! \xD/

This graphic novel is a must for fans of the Borderlands series. It gives a clear understanding of the characters past going upto when they first step on Marcus' bus. The artwork is great and the dialogue still manages to include the borderlands comedic style, the stories are short but sweet.If you are a hardcore Borderlands fan this is a must buy for those who want further clarification of the four original characters.

A great value graphic novel. I would recommend this to anyone who has a serious passion for Borderlands, it is only a short read but well worth the money and a great collectors piece.
