Mitre Junior Lite Training Football (Old Version)

Prior to this purchase we had low-cost brand footballs with a high turnover due to poor quality stitching, and it was a heavy ball for my kids at size 4.We purchased the Mitre and immediately identified its quality benchmark. Lightweight, thoroughly stitched, enhanced kinetic control and contact with its material, great performance all-round.It has boosted my Boys' technical training and quality output visibly and consistently. Brands that have a reputation to sustain might cost more, but if I'd purchased Mitre from the beginning, we wouldn't have gone through 7 balls of another poorly produced brand in 6 months.Highly recommended.

It looks and feels like a high quality football, this. The 'cushioned' outer skin is a great idea for budding young footballers; it helps a little with their control, and doesn't hurt as much when accidentally hit. Both are good for confidence. It even helps me look capable... ish.The only issue I have with mine is that it deflates fairly quickly, which is a bit of a pain. It's a chore having to pump it up every time we come to use it, and that's the only reason I'm giving it four rather than five stars. It could be that I've got a rogue one, of course, and it's good enough in every other way that I wouldn't let this put you off.Update: Oddly enough, it seems to have sorted itself out now, and no longer goes flat in a matter of days. In the spirit of honesty I thought I'd let people know. I'd buy another one without hesitation.

A relatively light weight football. Has a soft padded finish making it child friendly. It's been a hit with both of my son's aged 2 and 8. It is smaller than a full size football and I'd estimate about half the weight. My two year old has no problem picking it up and carrying it around. All in all very pleased.

Super ball! Purchased for the younger of my two grandsons who are both footy mad. Nice and light (but not too light) for his little feet and appears to be the quality one would expect from Mitre. Took a while to arrive, but well worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Ball quality is overall quite decent. Mitre is a good brand! But this specific ball is a Lite Junior Training Ball. An euphemism to mean a really lightweight silky ball. It's definitely good for juggling and keep-ups but totally not for a football game. Kicking it feels like kicking the air.

Great ball and very well made... what to expect from Mitre balls.However my issue is I left it in the garden and it appears the local foxes used it to play a match, things escalated and they had a fight and end up chewing the ball... not its useless as it has holes everywhere.I have complained to FiFa but yet I to receive a replay.Jokes aside its a great ball for training adults and children.

A great value ball but arrives squashed in a plastic bag. We bought a mitre presentation case and pump from Argos for about £3 which makes it much more presentable as a gift.

Bought this along with a goal for my 5yo son, its the perfect size and weight for him. He loves it, as its Mitre its top notch quality as well. Arrived quickly and well packaged.
