Wow! This is just a great bulb!
This is for the people who read 1 star reviews. This light works perfectly for me. I have a hallway about 10 feet long where I mostly store a large tool chest, vacuums, cleaners, etc. and I only go into it occasionally. The ceiling is about 10 feet with a simple ocerhead bulb. I had a motion detector installed that never, or rarely worked. If you waved at it, it might work. In time it began to sputter (if that's a proper term for light). Hated it.This bulb works perfectly. Comes on, stays on, goes off a few minutes after I leave. I think it's because the sensor is for infrared and not motion. It's very sensitive. If I walk by the door it comes on. Couldn't be more pleased to have finally solved my problem.

So for so good!
Works as I imagined for our pantry, you can open the frosted glass door, the light subtly comes on and stays on for about a minute and turns off. After a week we’re very pleased.Had bought and returned the GE equivalent for not turning off in a reasonable amount of time or at all.I only wish it had some adjustability in timing just to really dial in energy consumption and maybe light color to be more flexible for other areas of the house, however this is not a gripe.Fingers crossed that these 2 bulbs will last forever.

Seeing the light
I nearly returned this product. The day it arrived I hurried to try out the bulbs in my bedroom and dining room.I screwed in the bulbs, stood perfectly still long enough for them to shut off, and then danced around in front of them in total frustration, because nothing happened. The motion detectors failed miserably.Or so I thought. These motion sensitive light bulbs work so well, they do not light up if there is already enough light in the room to see where you are going. You can walk right in front of them in broad daylight and they don't even flicker. But once the room goes dark, these things show you the light. They are sensitive enough to pick up movements in another room, if there is a clear path between the light bulb and movement. They do not need to hang upside down from an overhead fixture in order to detect motion, but lamp shades and positions may interfere with the ability to detect motion. They stay on for an adequate amount of time after you leave the room. They can be a little eerie popping on an off when you don't realize the dog is wandering around the house at night.

Nice to have Motion Detection and automatic light for entryways
Replaced our old lantern fixtures with Barn-style outdoor light fixtures. Added these bulbs to get motion detection by entry doors and garage. Wish they detected motion further away, but serve our purposes well. We can leave the light switch on all the time and the lights will illuminate when needed.

Fades on
OMG, I love this bulb.It has an unlisted feature of which I've been searching and searching for.A feature I find to be minimal, but also defines higher quality.A feature I've noticed expensive places usually trend toward. Not to mention, is also more enjoyable in whole.I even go to the trouble of programming Alexa to apply this feature to my home lighting, and visitors notice and comment on it, always. Although it requires dimmable LED bulbs, which were not as common as they are now.And this feature I rave about, is that this bulb gradually, fades, glows, whatever the proper term is, as it turns on.It doesn't illuminate full when turned on, but gradually illuminate over a half second.I find this to be very pleasing and more comfortable, instead of being hit with sudden brightness. For the manufacturer to include this in their bulb requires additional circuits, yet this was the cheapest bulb by far, at $4 each. And increase this review lands elsewhere, it's for model BR18-SF2Q by HEKEEOk, so it doesn't fade off, which is a bummer, but hey, it's a start. The brightness is perfect for a closet, room, entry, pantry, hall, etc. It's equal to 75w incandescent. And matches the color perfectly to an incandescent (filament, old style bulbs) too, at a warm 2700k, which I find is perfect.I was slightly concerned the reviews said it turned off too soon, so I stopwatched it at exactly 59 secs every time.To clarify, it will turn off exactly 59 seconds after the last motion has been detected.Every time.It does not have the hidden programme feature of changing the time duration by quick power cycles, like other bulbs do.So turning the power switch on/off quickly will not change the timer duration.Detection seems legit, just as expected.Although heavily advertised not to use within enclosure, mine works just fine inside the typical outside lamppost. Which keeps it somewhat waterproof too, because experience has taught me these bulbs do not like any type of moisture, not even a sneeze, lol.So do others a favor, stock up on these and make lighting the way a little more comfortable...

Motion sensing light bulbs
Once in a while you come across with simple but brilliant products you didn't know they existed. I feel that these bulbs are one of them. We use them in dark places where we no longer have to feel for the wall switch to light the way, and one above the front entrance to provide light automatically to find the door lock at night. They come on and go off with gradual brightness, which is a nice touch. Just a side note, they only work in darkness, so if there is an existing light source nearby, they think it's daytime and will not work.

You will be in the dark with this bulb !
If you don't want to use any energy this bulb may be right for you !Not much illumination with this bulb, and the duration that it is on is short - doesn't seem to be 60 seconds long !And with the approximate 12 ft spacing of my lights in the basement, it will not turn on if the fluorescent bulbs to the north are on !
